Hank Quense edit

Hello Nanci, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for writing the article about Hank Quense - he looks like a very interesting author. I'm afraid, though, that he might not actually qualify for inclusion in Wikipedia. To do that, he has to pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines for biographies. In short, you need to find reliable sources, such as newspaper articles or books, that cover him or his work. (And they can't have any connection to Quense himself.) I found one source at NorthJersey.com, but this isn't enough by itself. We need at least one more reference, and ideally it should be something that's published for a general audience, not just a local one. Do you know of any sources that might exist? Let me know if you have any questions about this. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius 16:39, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Also, I've just seen from your user page that you are a professional promoter of authors and books. In that case, I really strongly recommend that you read the plain and simple guide to having a conflict of interest. It will save you a lot of time and headaches. — Mr. Stradivarius 16:43, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Hank Quense edit

The article Hank Quense has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I couldn't find enough coverage in reliable sources to prove that Quense passes Wikipedia's notability guidelines for biographies. The NorthJersey.com source in the article was the best I could find.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Mr. Stradivarius 18:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
