Bauhaus discography

Hi, thanks for your input at the Bauhaus discography. You removed the Bauhaus myspace external link citing WP:ELNO - presumably because of point 10. However the top of that section does state Except for a link to an official page of the article's subject which the link was. Would you have any objection to me restoring the link? --JD554 (talk) 15:51, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Groove metal? I thought they were

[1] I wonder, how is it biased, exactly? Metallum clearly lists their late work as groove; and nu metal is also a clear influence on Roots and thereafter. At least that's what I've seen from the user reviews (or are those not RS?). 21655 ταλκ/01ҁ 20:15, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

And? What makes "Encyclopaedia Metallum" a reliable source? Groove metal remains in the genre list, what is your problem? If you would like to add nu-metal on this list just add a good amount of references (from reliable sources). Cannibaloki 20:32, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Did I come across as too impolite? Sorry if I did. Anyway, I kind of misunderstood the whole thing: I didn’t notice groove was still on the list. 21655 ταλκ/01ҁ 17:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Rammstein revert

Hi - regarding your Rammstein revert, while i might also disagree that a bonus track on some versions of an album release qualifies it as an album track ("Stripped" with Sehnsucht), there seems little debate that "Asche zu Asche" is indeed on Herzeleid.. What am i missing? Thanks. (I'll watch this page for replies) Quaeler (talk) 19:42, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Sources? Cannibaloki 20:02, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Sources, as in track listing sources? Does that mean that you think that the Wiki article on the albums is incorrect (which seems insane)? My 24 seconds to open a new browser tab, search and review Amazon.com results, seems to corroborate. I stupefied by your question though -- so i must be misunderstanding you.. ? Quaeler (talk) 21:05, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I've made the AGF revert. If you believe that the Wikipedia articles on those albums are incorrect please make the corrections and cite your sources. Thanks. Quaeler (talk) 22:12, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I've brought the discussion to the article's talk page as requested — i look forward greatly to hearing your rationale. Quaeler (talk) 23:38, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

System of a Down discography

Please be more careful in reverting edits as vandalism or unnecessary, as you did here. The addition by ONEder_Boy was not vandalism or unnecessary, it was an addition of encyclopedic information to a relevant page. I have reverted the page back to its previous form. If you have concerns about edits that are not obviously vandalism or violations of WP policy, please be sure to post your concerns on the article's talk page. - The Dark Ride (talk) 07:18, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

What vandalism? The song "Metro" first appeared at Dracula 2000 (same year), and later in Not Another Teen Movie (2001). So, I should put only the first time which this song appeared in a soundtrack and/or compilation album. Subsequent additions are not relevant, you should pay more attention. Iron Maiden awards

Hello headbanger!! How's everything? I know I haven't been around in a while, but was just taking a brak. I'm back trying to imrpove some aricles related to the beast. Think you can help me with this? List of awards and nominations received by Iron Maiden, just created it. Now i need some help, just find some awards or nominations recieved by them and I'll do all tghe work (you just need to find out some). Remember, I'm just bothering you with this, because I know you have that black-magic touch on finding info in the web.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 01:33, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Is there any way to know if they received anything on Metal Hammer??.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 01:57, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Wooohhh you are the MAN!! Damn, I thought I was gonna have to do it all by myself. As I told you before, you have a black-magic touch to find those things in the 'net. I spent the whole day yesterday, and copuldn't find anything. Hey I want to improve the article as much as possible, to nominate it for FL. Just let me know anything ok.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 03:06, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey, tell me what do you think of this that I recently did: Iron_Maiden#Concert_tours. Gives a quick overview of the tours and icludes the link to the main article. Please tell me your opin ion, if it's not professional I'll remove it myself, but I think it's pretty good, well that's just my opinion.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 04:04, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Looks good. Cannibaloki 01:20, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Did some little touches on the page. Do you think it could now be nominated for FL or do you want to do anything else to it? Also, if I nominate it, can I name you in a co-nomination w/ me?  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 02:44, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

No, don't merge it yet. Give me a little time, then I'll let you know. Don't worry. It won't take that long. Rockk3r Spit it Out! 20:59, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Will you let me finish??  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 17:29, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

No, I'm serious now :). Instead of criticizing let me finish or Help. I'm struggling, but I know I can find more awards.  Rockk3r Spit it Out! 17:34, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

What could be extracted from here: aceshowbiz.com/ celebrity/iron_maiden/ awards.html (had to put it like that because of the spam filter). Tom Morello discography

Hello.

I noticed you removed the Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave parts from this article, personally I think that thoose parts are important and should be included and I didnt find anything that indicated that they would not be appropriate in the discography guidelines. The "igonre all rules" section also states:

....It is our goal to provide information in the best way possible, so a strict adherence to the guidelines listed above may not always be the best way to accomplish our goals.

So in my opinion having the band studioalbums listed and the bands own discographies as mainlist seems appropriate to me, I wont edit the article again before hearing your view on the matter since "edit wars" arent really that constructive.

Space format

Why use this when a normal space can do the exact same thing? I think it's a bit too much. It also saves space in the end if that even matters. FireCrystal (talk) 05:49, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Advisor.js: Putting a non-breaking space before a dash would prevent the user agent from wrapping it at the beginning of the next line. Cannibaloki 06:03, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmm... I see. Guess it is an automated format. I been constantly wondering why people are adding that into the page when I originally thought it was doing the same thing with no other effect. Thanks for the explanation. FireCrystal (talk) 06:08, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Haha, well it would appear the reason that the intro was so well written was because somebody went and copy and pasted it right out of the Allmusic Guide's bio. Restoring contested PROD removals

Hi, could you explain why you continually restore the removals of proposed deletion templates by 68.3.67.25 (talk · contribs), classifying the edits as "vandalism"? The removals seem to me to be perfectly in line with the proposed deletion system, which allows such removals if anyone objects to the proposed deletion. —bbatsell ¿? 01:54, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

The time to contest the PROD had finished, when the tag was removed for the first time. Just read the IP talk page. Cannibaloki 02:01, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I missed your notes on the user's talk page. Unfortunately, your application of WP:PROD is faulty. Anyone can remove a proposed deletion tag, at any time, for virtually any reason (see WP:PROD#Conflicts). Administrators also restore prod'ed articles after any request, so even if the article had been deleted within the five days, it could and would be restored and prod removed with no questions asked. If you believe articles should still be deleted after prod has been contested, you must advance to an AfD nomination. Thanks, —bbatsell ¿? 02:02, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Bbatsell is correct. Once a PROD template has been removed you must not continue to request it. You should seek WP:AFD. Nja247 08:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey Loki,

What does this discography need to be rated a bit higher than Start-class? Opeth taking a break

Hi, I just added that information again independently of your earlier reversion. Yeah, Akerfeldt said that from the stage here in Toronto on Monday night, before going on to Pittsburgh.

Varlaam (talk) 20:21, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

P.S. Good show.

You have a source for that?--Cannibaloki 20:32, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, yeah. No. I'm a 48-year-old with an engineering degree and 9000 Wikipedia edits. How's that? I'm the editor of 2 Wikipedia pages.
Put a [source required] flag on it.
Akerfeldt is a funny guy. He ate oysters in Toronto. He started playing a Bryan Adams song and got the crowd to sing along. He asked if Adams was from Toronto (he's not) and whether he was a guilty pleasure here. He explained he only owns one Adams album (Reckless). Weird.
The opening act, Enslaved, felt it necessary to make a Rush joke, being in Toronto.
You already have 2 independent sources, me and Mr. IP Address Kid, saying the same thing. Akerfeldt was actually rather apologetic about it, as though he felt bad about goofing off, and felt the need to justify it to the audience. Interesting guy. He actually spent a fair bit of time belabouring the point, although his voice may have been in need of a rest after all the growling.
Yeah, he wanted to be reassured that we would still be around to see him once he started touring again. So he was mooching for a big roar and a lot of cigarette lighters going up.
Better light show than last year's.
Wikipedia don't work with original research, as well as addition of unsourced content in a featured article. Again I'll remove that sentence, you can re-add this with a reliable source for verification. Ah, who are you, and what you do in and outside Wikipedia, doesn't interest me.--Cannibaloki 21:08, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Your personal point of view, of course, is of no interest to me. Facts are still facts regardless of whether a published newspaper account can be located to confirm it.
I personally don't give a shit about this factoid. I'm 48 years old. I'm an opera fan. I am merely providing useful information for people who do care. As a public service.
I remember when I went to hear Robert Mugabe speak at the University of Toronto over 25 years ago. In his speech, he said "Democracy is not for Africans." But no one wanted to hear that from the "hero of the Zimbabwean freedom struggle", so that did not appear in any newspaper.
Years later, he's a dictator. And he said what he said regardless of any Wikipedia rules about published corroboration.
What I would do in a case like this is to flag the fact as suspicious, if you want, and leave it alone. A fact is still a fact. All you're doing is hurting people who are thinking, "Should I see the band this year? No, I'll wait until next year."
You have to live with your decisions, including all the bad ones.
Varlaam (talk) 23:35, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
What's with the double standard? Why is my other sentence still there?
"As of May 2009, the band was touring North America with Enslaved."
Check the history! I wrote that!
I didn't provide a reference for this fact. I am probably the 27-year-old manager of a Norwegian heavy metal band called Enslaved, who is lying when he claims to be a 48-year-old Canadian engineer who likes opera. I'm trying to promote my band by associating them with Opeth.
You should probably delete this sentence, and save the people of the world from my unprovoked terrorist attack.

I just checked the statistics and I have 1000 more article edits than you have.
So don't tell me what original research is.
Thanks.

A star for Kronos Quartet discography

Loki! Thanks for your help in the peer review and in the whole nomination process! I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work! Drmies (talk) 04:30, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Well done, congratulations! Where are the label's names in the Contributions section?--Cannibaloki 04:56, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Eh...on Amazon? Really, you think they ought to be there? I never included them because they're not their own records. Drmies (talk) 16:53, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Later, I complete this section. "I never included them because they're not their own records." That does not exist…--Cannibaloki 17:22, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
You don't have to do my work for me--I'll get on it, but it will take me a couple of days. Take it easy, Drmies (talk) 06:33, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

iron maiden sales

dear sir,i'm new to wiki and not very computer literate, but my altering of the sales figure was not intended as vandalism.the figure of 70+million album sales for maiden is not correct as that only constitutes the sales from emi,not taking into account the other distributors used in some other countries.when those sales are taken into account the figure is indeed over 100million,as originally stated on the old maiden wiki page.there are lots of reliable sources for this figure on the net, however i would not know how to use them.i feel it is imperative to give the correct figure for people to realise just how well this band has done, they really are the biggest metal band.perhaps you could help? thanks for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitewarrior251 (talkcontribs) 17:08, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Megadeth Untitled 12th Album

So wait... Metallica, and other bands have a whole page for their new albums, but Megadeth aren't allowed one.......... Dude, you add nothing to wikipedia, you sit there all day with your thick goggles and cups of lemonade deleting perfectly good posts. Now... go? bye? finito plz? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.234.155.162 (talk) 14:39, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

If you pay attention, Megadeth don't have an "article" [perfectly good post?] for their possible twelfth studio album. Remove contents of the Megadeth article and move to a new page, isn't create a new article, is content fork.--Cannibaloki 15:29, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
