DSiWare list edit

The reason why I removed genres is because lists tend to avoid that, and in a lot of cases, it will be extremely difficult to source the genre of the games. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 19:43, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello NPI WOL! Your additions to Video Cassette Rock have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 21:15, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

January 2024 edit

Hello, I'm Serge, an admin here on Wikipedia. I'm a bit concerned to see how many rejected article drafts you're getting here. Are you in need of help in understanding Wikipedia's policies and guidelines? You can't keep trying to publish work that ignores our standards, or eventually you may find your account blocked from editing.

You can ask me for guidance, or ask for help at WT:VG. I know it can take some time to learn the website...but it is necessary to do to continue contributing. Sergecross73 msg me 03:22, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

List of PlayStation Vita games (A-D) edit

Hi there, I'm going to undo your edit to this article. "Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? Infinite Combate" and "'DanMachi de Shooting wa Machigatteiru Darou ka" are two separate games - It even says so in the article that you linked as a source.

Further sources:

Retronuc (talk) 13:05, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, it was my mistake. I didn't understood that clearly. I though it was a bonus content within the game itself.
While you are here, can you improve the Vita list? Is it possible to merge it in two categories (i.e. A-O and P-Z). It seems ridiculous to be in 8 parts NPI WOL (talk) 22:04, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
No worries, my bad for not including a source reference on the original edit.
I agree that there's too many pages, but it's probably a bigger undertaking than I'm capable of, or I don't have enough experience with Wikipedia yet. There's a proposal on the Talk page from a few years ago to make it three pages, but that seems to be abandoned/redircting.
Once I finish my current pass on Vita (cross-referencing Wikipedia with several other data sources and databases for missing titles, unlocalized names, etc), I'll potentially look into it. Retronuc (talk) 14:55, 8 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

e-Amusement Games edit

I saw you added a big table of all the Konasute games to the e-Amusement article. Right now it seems like random information since there's no indication of what these games are, as looking up コナステ in English just gives information on the console version of Sound Voltex. If you could provide any explanation on what the table is for or what it explains, it would be helpful to readers (such as myself). "Games" seems to imply that these are all the games eAmuse is compatible with, such as the list on the Japanese wikipedia page. Reconrabbit 00:19, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

See the bottom of the page ストリーミングコンテンツ and PC専用 ダウンロードコンテンツ. NPI WOL (talk) 01:07, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see. Still, there should be context in the article that doesn't require a reader to go through to the reference link or understand Japanese. Reconrabbit 01:30, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
