Again, welcome

Please avoid edit warring edit

You recently made the same edit 3 times in less than 3 days in Child Pornography. Please read WP:3RR and look at the spirit in which it was written. No more than 3 reverts in 1 day is the policy, 1 revert then discuss is a commonly followed guideline. If you make your edit, see it reverted, open a discussion, and nothing happens for a few days then you won't look bad if you change it again. If it's changed back, repeat the process. After 3 or 4 times over 2 or 3 weeks of being reverted-back and the person not discussing it, you can ask for administrator or community intervention.

The best way to get something to stick if another editor reverts it is to prove that what you say is more accurate than what was there before. A better approach is to attempt to find language acceptable to everyone. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

And removing sources, N, while not offering sources for what you are instead saying is doubtless why you have been reverted by 3 different editors so the ball really is in your court to come tot he talk page and bring sources for where CP is not illegal etc. Thanks, SqueakBox 20:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
??? Methinks you must be talking to N1995w. Please adjust indent accordingly. By the way, if there were truly no reliable sources, the correct phrasing would be "there is no reliable information on the number of countries where child pornography is illegal." Of course, that is not true: There are reliable sources for just about every country or maybe even every country saying it is illegal in that country. A claim that it is legal in country X should be easily refuted with a reference to that country's lawbooks. As I said on Talk:Child_pornography#Where is child porn illegal?, the existing 2003 book source looks to be superseded by the Interpol web page, which says that at least two countries have no explicit laws outlawing child pornography. Because of this, the book source should be tagged{{dubious}} and/or removed. That same comment discusses related issues as well. Please read it. Let's all work to make every article in Wikipedia as factually accurate as possible. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 22:31, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Of course, if I were talking directly to you, david, I would do so on your talk page, but redacted to make this clear, don't know what you mean about indents, anmd yes factual accuracy is important. Thanks, SqueakBox 22:35, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Indents being colons. No colons means you are talking to N1995w. 1 or more colons means you are talking to the closest-higher post with 1 fewer colons. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 00:51, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you pointy out the WP page that says this. Thanks, SqueakBox 00:54, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
