Portal:Ukraine/Ukraine-related Wikipedia notice board

Would it be a good idea to set up auto-archiving? There are some announcements there from 2008. It Is Me Here t / c 16:55, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

History of Russia

I have removed the biased map. Xx236 (talk) 08:12, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

I don’t object to the map, as long as the caption reflects its nature. It demonstrates two things: the distribution of peoples, accurately as far as I can tell; and the historical view of East Slavic ethnicity, as sanctioned by the imperial authorities. Understanding this helps us understand certain POVs that still exist and influence important events today. Michael Z. 2014-08-18 13:54 z
as sanctioned by the imperial authorities means POV. The article should describe facts. The place for imperial dreams is in All-Russian nation. A specific section may inform about Russian ideology, but I don't see it.

The map describes facts, and the caption I edited explains its POV per WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV. If you can find a 19th-century map that reflects 21st-century academic POV, or an open-licence 21st-century map, then feel free to improve the article by swapping it in. Michael Z. 2014-08-19 13:14 z

Your requested move at Talk:Rossiyane

Hello Mzajac. Please consider responding to the recent comments in the move discussion. Since enough time has passed, an admin could close this, but it would be better to know if User:AjaxSmack's idea of splitting the article has general support. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 17:14, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Inclinometer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Topo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
