WWAX-LD

Hi, sorry for the delay. I noticed that WWAX recently launched as a new station in CT. The page redirects to WFSB's page with limited info about the station like history before official launch of "theWAX" branding, programs they carry, and other station info. Is the WWAX-LD page in the works right now? I have a legit source that leads to a forum from other people experiencing the launch. 2600:8805:D219:D800:DD4C:7F3:FDFF:77DF (talk) 18:06, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) The main problem is that we can't use a forum as a reliable source. The station has little operating history before 2021. There probably should be a mention of this station in a section of the WFSB article, especially now that it is an adjunct of WFSB, but it lacks standalone notability for its own page. Thank you! I had some questions about it and I was wondering about the history of "Eyewitness News Now" since it relaunched on one of WWAX subchannels. Those are on WFSB's talk page. I do agree that there should be more info about this station but I get this is new. 2600:8805:D219:D800:DD4C:7F3:FDFF:77DF (talk) 18:26, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
I just noticed the edits made by someone updating WFSB's page to include WWAX-LD info. It's great that the page is getting new info about the new station. If you have any comment, feel free to reply any time or close this topic if you would like. This is no longer a current issue. 72.200.133.127 (talk) 00:21, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

WCCB

I'm not sure "reception" is the correct term. That implies they can pick up the signal. Thanks for seeing my typo.

The way the article was worded, I think he meant sets that could pick up UHF. Is that what you intended? I chose the words I did since quoting is discouraged unless there's a really good reason, and Bahakel's quote was a good one. Still, I can't go back and look now because I'm at home.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:41, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

WNYN-LD subchannels

Hi there, so I noticed you removed my edits to the template of NYC TV for WNYN-LD. I’m actually able to receive this station, and can verify wholeheartedly that WNYN-LD does in fact air iSportsZone, Movie Giants and Winnie’s World Kidz TV.I know YouTube might not be the best source, but hey, it’s basically solid evidence. [1]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0fPbijaB-4 and besides, it’s a template. Aren’t templates meant to not have citations? Danubeball (talk) 23:40, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

Protocol: COI edit requests w/o references

The Edit COI template asks requesters to supply "references supporting [a proposed] change." What is protocol for COI edit requests where the change is uncontroversial, the source is the subject of the article, and there is no published material to cite? For example, I would like to correct some factual inaccuracies of a technical nature in an article about an organization where my source is the organization itself. Thanks!

Hmmm, might want to ask @Sammi Brie: Mvcg66b3r (talk) 09:26, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
@Jdbauxt A better place to ask would be WP:COIN. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 18:26, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from WOTF-TV into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Nobody (talk) 06:49, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
