Mtindia, sorry I didn't leave a message for you earlier. I actually had my browser on editing your page when I was called away for a couple hours. I removed your content because wikipedia tends to avoid using blogs as sources or secondary information, unless they are established as pre-eminent in the field, which blogs generally aren't (see Link spam). You can make an argument for inclusion on the talk page of the article, and if other editors agree that your site is notable enough for inclusion you can put it back and I won't remove it. Please do not add commercial links — or links to your own private websites — to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. Note that Wikipedia may see print or DVD publication, so we want more content, not more web links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. This is a standard message for people who add links to their own websites. Frankly, the article which you've added your website to already has too many links. If there is content which you feel is present on your blog but not in the article, feel free to add it and source it. If there is one website which you feel is particularly comprehensive, you can probably add it. It's not appropriate to add a link to your own website (note, for example, that your resume is right at the top). Thank you, Makemi 02:43, 3 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mtindia 17:01, 22 February 2006 (UTC)  Hello Makemi: It looks like you have waited enough to restore my research links on information visualization. There are so many editors who are contributing to this section, and we left the debate free and open for them to comment. In the absence of other voices, I would appreciate scholarship and humbleness to reign supreme. Please restore the following two external links.Reply

[Innovative Practices to Connect Every Book, Its Reader] and [Mining The Library Catalog].

In case you don't see the purpose, let me reiterate: First, these are not commercial links, and I am not making any money by linking these to the Wiki. I am a researcher, and it hurts me that you are ill-treating me with no sense at all. And, second, Wiki has no rules on the type of external links. If there are any objections from other quarters, let them pop up, and let's not take unilateral decisions.

Sorry.... edit
