Orphaned non-free image File:Scrabble United States.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Scrabble United States.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. "English Heritage" as a name edit

If I understand all this correctly (and there is much in Wikipedia I fail to understand!) there is someone connected with this Talk Page named 'Mr Taz' who, in April last year, contributed a question to the Talk Page on English Heritage to which I have today (10 October) attempted to provide some sort of a purely personal response (character of name chosen, "English Heritage"). Peter Judge October 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.17.80.55 (talk) 15:16, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

He was blocked from editing last year Peter, so you won't get a reply. Jamesinderbyshire (talk) 17:52, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
It should be noted that although this section cannot be removed altogether as a result of some sort of automatic safeguard (at least in my own case) the fact remains that it is completely meaningless since Mr Taz's contribution to the English Heritage page as stated (English Heritage as a name, one which incidentally in my own view made a great deal of sense in relation to the true purpose of English Heritage and was thus at least in this respect relevant to the Talk Page where it had been entered) has itself now been removed altogether by somebody else who clearly knows a good deal more about how this can be done (and no doubt a lot of other things about Wikipedia) then I am ever likely in my old age (if not lack of intelligence or education) to know myself ... so I have to contribute an addition to the original entry here by myself instead. For the reasons given I am obliged to waste a little of the time of those who read it and discover that it no longer means anything, I am sorry to say. Goodbye, Mr Taz, if you read this, and goodluck. I don't know what the argument might have been but I suppose that perhaps you will be back again. Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Ward One edit

A tag has been placed on Template:Ward One requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it must be substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Fitnr (talk) 02:33, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Geography and identity in Wales edit

The article Geography and identity in Wales has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I see no assertion of notability, just a random collection of minor mentions in books about Wales.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
