Hillsong albums edit

Hi. I noticed you have been altering the Hillsong album pages. While I encourage you to do so, please note that according to the albums style guide (Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums#Capitalization), in song titles, conjunctions, prepositions, articles and infinitives should not be capitalised (e.g. "Shout to the Lord", not "Shout To The Lord").

Also I noticed you have recategorised the live praise and worship albums. This is perhaps a good idea, but they no longer need to be listed in the 'parent' category of Hillsong albums. The other albums may also be better in subcategories as well.

Thanks for your input and sorry to sound critical but the style guide should be followed wherever possible! Marky1981 17:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for fixing the song titles. Just one minor thing: the word "is" is a verb and should be capitalised (e.g. "God Is in the House") - I made that mistake myself initially! I will start changing them back! Thanks though. Marky1981 22:56, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

International wheelchair symbol discussion edit

Hello. There is currently a discussion in progress at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Use of international wheelchair symbol concerning whether or not we should use the International Symbol of Access to indicate handicapped-accessible train/metro statains, Disney rides, etc. Our other options are plain text or an alternative icon such as  . Your input would be welcome. —Remember the dot (talk) 04:22, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Southern star logo.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Southern star logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay edit

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
