Autopatrolled granted

Hi Mosesheron, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 02:03, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

@~Swarm~ {sting}, thanks a lot. I will pay attention to those areas. Mosesheron (talk) 20:41, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Missing cite in Desacralization of knowledge

The article cites "Harvey 1989" but no such source is listed in bibliography. Can you please add? Also, suggest installing a script to highlight such errors in the future. All you need to do is copy and paste importScript('User:Svick/HarvErrors.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Svick/HarvErrors.js]] to your common.js page. Thanks, Renata (talk) 15:35, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

@Renata, Fixed it. It was listed in bibliography as Harvey 1991. I may have erroneously cited it as 1989. Thank you for pointing it out. I will install that script. It is really a valuable suggestion. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your time. Mosesheron (talk) 18:27, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Naguib Mahfouz

Hi, you have reverted an edit on Naguib Mahfouz by an anonymous user but the edit wasn't a vandalism. He was just adding flagicon, now the reason I am saying this is that I added the flagicon after him and then I removed it after you considered the edit of the anonymous user a vandalism. Can you please tell me if this was vandalism or not. Thanks Iraforos (talk) 17:15, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

@Iraforos (talk): This was a clear misjudgment on my part. Thank you for pointing it out. I didn't even think about the flagicon. That individual was doing the right job. And so were you. Go ahead and add it again. My apologies! Mosesheron (talk) 17:25, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

No, I won't add the flagicon again because I realized it was unnecessary and It won't change anything in the article. But next time take care before reverting an edit, see if it was a vandalism or not. Thanks again Iraforos (talk) 19:18, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

@Iraforos, Thank you for your comment. In fact, I do. But you know, no one is free from errors of judgement. And this case was a bit ambiguous. Moreover, they provided no edit summaries. This may also have prompted me to revert it without further inquiries. Anyway, I should have been more careful. I have already notified that user. And of course, in the future you will have to modify your language a little while communicating with people. This will be helpful. Thanks you again. Mosesheron (talk) 19:59, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

Vijnana is also Hindu

I'm not quite sure how short descriptions operate in Wikipedia. But the short description that you recently imported at Vijnana is incomplete, since the term is also Hindu. I will change on that page, but if there is some other short description archived that was imported, perhaps that short description should also be updated. BTW this term is used in many different early Upanishads (suspect they predate Buddhism), so it's not a marginal usage. All the best --Presearch (talk) 22:57, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

@Presearch (talk): Sure. I merely imported it from Wikidata without a second thought. You can find it here. Thank you for coming by. Best wishes. Mosesheron (talk) 23:24, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks. I just updated on Wikidata. I created a new short description that allowed for slightly different meanings for Hinduism, Buddhism (for the former, basing on main meanings on the page). Not sure it's perfect yet. But hopefully moving in the right direction. All the best --Presearch (talk) 23:44, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Kaftan changes

Hello I made changes in a Kaftan article and you counted it as irrelevant. I think you made a mistake. Because I have all the evidences that everything in that article is wrong and misleading. It was changed from the original correct article. Unless you were the one who putted those false informations there. MoroccanEmpire (talk) 21:23, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

@MoroccanEmpire (talk): Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. No, I didn't put anything in that article. Anyway, I have reverted your edits on Kaftan for several reasons. Firstly, the edit summaries appeared misleading to me. See it here. You said you "added more informations" and just "fixed typo" but in reality you removed content from the article without even mentioning it. One must not remove contents from articles without adequately explaining the reasons as to why those contents should not be on Wikipedia. Discussions on the talk page are always encouraged. Secondly, You did not provide reliable sources for your claims made on that article. Please note that every statement made on Wikipedia must be supported by reliable sources. If you'd like to include citations and re-add them, you are always at liberty of doing so. Thank you for coming by. Happy editing! Mosesheron (talk) 22:02, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

@82.28.199.31 (talk): Yes I did. Actually I've left a reply for you there. Please have a look. And if you are here for this, please note that we have a consensus not to use Youtube as a source at all. Mosesheron (talk) 16:02, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Buddy, what's up with biased Iran supreme leader edit, Clerics is not something that exists in Islam, anyone knows this, you re-edit is biased, but of course, you are Israeli, so Israeli propaganda on Khomeini about Women is something you endorse, you have no academic integrity 105.72.255.175 (talk) 18:42, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

@105.72.255.175 (talk): I agree that Islam does not have a clergy system. Well, at least not theoretically. Also, I'd like to say that your changes to Khomeini's page I think were done in good faith. That is why I have provided an edit summary for their revert. I'll reiterate what I have already said here: those terms are, in fact, used in almost all the sources cited in the article. Please note that we only allow stuff on Wikipedia that are supported by reliable sources. I do not know why you are attacking me personally. Please read WP:CIVIL. Rollback granted

Hi Mosesheron. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2021-04-07. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! -- Amanda (aka DQ) 14:46, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Abu Ubaid al-Qasim bin Salam

I am interested in understanding your reasoning about how Abu Ubaid al-Qasim bin Salam is an Arab. His father was a Byzantine slave, so he could be of any decent. Jun221 (talk) 00:13, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

@Jun221: His entry in Encyclopedia of Islam says he was an "Arab philologist". It also says he was "the son of a Byzantine slave" and was born in Herat. I do not know how they came to that conclusion. But Encyclopedia of Islam is a highly reliable source. Maybe his father was also an Arab who was just enslaved by the Byzantines. I do not know. Thanks for the comment. Happy editing! Mosesheron (talk) 07:26, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

User:SharqHabib

Dear User:Mosesheron, after coming into contact with User:SharqHabib's edits again, I do see an issue of WP:COMPETENCE. Have you noticed any other changes that he/she has made that might warrant another investigation as you filed one previously? I look forward to hearing from you. With regards, AnupamTalk 18:37, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

@Anupam: Thank you for taking the time to write to me. Yes, you're correct. This user does have an issue of WP:COMPETENCE. However, I made a strategic mistake when interacting with this user in the past. I should have issued him/her a constant warning for his disruptive editing, and eventually reported him/her for vandalism, instead of reporting him/her to the ANI. S/he'd get a block much sooner this way. Although I did issue some friendly warnings, they were ultimately ineffective. I believed s/he was acting in good faith. While this may still be true, many of his/her edits are still disruptive and are inconsistent with our policies and guidelines. Now I realize I've wasted my time. I haven't issued him/her any warnings following the ANI incidence for two reasons. First, I am a little unhappy with the administrator's decision not to take action against him/her. Second, I was giving other editors time and opportunities to review his/her case. I notice the user is temporarily blocked now. Let's see if they change their ways when they get back to work on the project. Mosesheron (talk) 17:03, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Mutazilites

Hi, not to be rude but please can we keep things neutral on Wikipedia please. I have already said countless times it is better to go with main sources then cherry-picking unknown websites to propagate the views of certain people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.28.199.31 (talkcontribs)

@82.28.199.31: The Mutazalites were, in fact, a very well known group during the Islamic Golden age, but the cited source is not a reliable one. I didn't notice that when I asked for page protection. I have removed that claim from the the article for now. Thank you very much for your cooperation. Mosesheron (talk) 14:37, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

My apologies

Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings.

My apologies for how things turned out concerning the article title “Allah as a lunar deity.” My intentions were good and I thought my move was appropriate and could be a middle way to resolve the dispute. Anyway, I am sorry for any inconvenience caused, and I hope your wikibreak will be relaxing and renewing for you, and you will come back here soon. Wikipedia needs people like you to help improve it's quality. Again, please accept my sincere apologies. Best regards.--TheEagle107 (talk) 23:41, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

@TheEagle107: Peace be upon you, too. To be honest, it has nothing to do with you. That move was a good faith effort on your part. In fact, I need this Wikibreak in order to fix a few things in my life. Sure, I'm a little dissatisfied with how Wikipedia operates as a whole. I mean what's the point of putting forth effort if it's going to be undone? Anyway, I know we will have to live with it. I'll return as soon as life permits. Please don't apologize. I know what you are doing. Best wishes for you. Mosesheron (talk) 16:22, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Life has its ups and downs, but you can only look forward. It is important to use these difficult times as life lessons, allowing you to learn and grow and transform you into a stronger and wiser person every day! Wikipedia, like anything, has its pros and cons. It can cause you stress, anxiety or frustration, take up your valuable time, and end up a mess. But always remember that everything is OK in the end. If it's not OK, then it's not the end. Anyway, thanks for your understanding and consideration. Wishing you all the best.--TheEagle107 (talk) 09:53, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words. Mosesheron (talk) 11:47, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
