So why don't you provide a reference for the "family tradition" that Bill Frist followed when becoming a member of a whites-only country club. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord Krondor (talkcontribs) 05:19, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Committee memberships edit

Hi there, just wondering if you could cite a source for your recent changes to Senate committee memberships. On at least one of them, the change you made is not reflected on the official site. May well be that the official site is out of date, but it would be best if a source were cited to support the change. Thanks, -Pete (talk) 23:34, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The committee section on the Senate's official websute[1] is up to date even if the committee's own websites are not. But I will add the citations.Moodyfloydwhofan (talk) 04:37, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Congressional districts lists of representatives edit

I see the good work you've done just now with Tennessee's 7th congressional district. A preferred way to format the table is:

List of Representatives
Representative
Party
Years
District residence
Note

Fred Representative
| Democratic
January 3 1985 – January 3 1987
Memphis
Retired to pursue modeling career

which looks like this:

Representative Party Years District residence Note
Fred Representative Democratic January 3 1985January 3 1987 Memphis Retired to pursue modeling career

This is not (YET) consistent over all 600+ districts (435 active + lots of obsolete). But we're working for consistency. —Markles 22:26, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Committee assignments edit

Excellent work you're doing on adding committee assignments. Please note WP:MSH: Wikipedia uses sentence case, not title case, for headings within articles, so please use Committee assignments instead of Committee Assignments. Thanks. Ground Zero | t 18:11, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of Tennessee Senators, Class 1 edit

Thanks for your help in adding the dates of service for the Tennessee Senators, Class 1. Can we work together on Class 2 as well? I will make the table if you will add the actual dates. I appreciate your help, I think it looks good. DAWGinRoswell 17:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks man! I have put the grid up for Class 2; however, I cannot get the dates/history set up yet....(time constraint). If you could add, that would be helpful. What do you think about adding term and congress to the table? See list of Georgia Senators...DAWGinRoswell 20:15, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikimedia Commons edit

Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! There is, however, another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!--OsamaK 22:59, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
