Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Mahesh Pandey

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Mahesh Pandey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Mahesh Pandey moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Mahesh Pandey, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Praxidicae (talk) 14:38, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Removing notices via an IP is socking. Do not do it again. Second, I've moved this to draft space for you to work on. If you move it back to draftspace in it's current form and poorly sourced, it will be deleted, so I suggest you go through the AFC process. Praxidicae (talk) 14:38, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mohit235. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mohit235. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mohit235|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 11:01, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me? How can give this statement. I am trying to improve Wikipedia's data and make it more reliable. Just go through my contributions you will find that I have made necessary corrections in the article. People have used wrong names, spelling mistakes for many articles. I am just trying to improve the articles and you are saying that this is strongly discouraged. I wasn't expecting this kind of message from Wikipedia. Mohit235 (talk) 11:12, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You took a picture of Mr. Bhalla and it is clear that he posed for you. What is your connection with him? 331dot (talk) 11:18, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Think twice before saying all this rubbish. This image is from a source called `StarsUnfolded'. You may check on the web. Neither he posed for me nor have any connection. Mohit235 (talk) 11:33, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You claimed the image as your own personal work. If that's not the case, you need to remove the image and immediately request its deletion from Commons. Most random images on the internet do not have a copyright compatible with Wikipedia. If this image is displayed with a copyright that permits its reuse for any purpose with attribution, you may then reupload the image with the appropriate copyright. It must be clearly stated, you cannot assume it is compatible. 331dot (talk) 11:54, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
If it's this website, it says "All Rights Reserved" at the bottom, meaning that its content is not compatible with Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 11:56, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You also claimed this image of Mr. Pandey as your own personal work. 331dot (talk) 11:57, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why you are marking Mr. Pandey's image as well? That was clicked by me. Remove its deletion. You can't just assume that my every work is not correct. Mohit235 (talk) 12:03, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I haven't marked anything for deletion. If you personally took the image of Mr. Pandey, fine. What is your connection with Mr. Pandey, since you were at his event and he posed for you when you took the image?
If you didn't personally take the image of Mr. Bhalla, you need to address that as I have indicated. 331dot (talk) 12:09, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You will be blocked from editing if you do not adequately address these concerns. Copyright violations potentially put Wikipedia in legal jeopardy, so we must take copyright matters seriously. 331dot (talk) 12:22, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think now you have problem is just with me. Trying to remove frustration on my work and contributions. Marking the images for deletion. Rejected draft submission. Well done. You don't deserve to be admin. Mohit235 (talk) 12:07, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have not marked a single image for deletion. I have no problem with you personally, I have concerns with policies not being followed. 331dot (talk) 12:11, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Then why you have rejected it. I have seen 100s of articles published worst than this. I have tried my best to give the best sources which describes the subject. Also we shouldn't give citations after every word. According to my knowledge I have given even sources and the best sources. Still you rejected it. If you were a good admin you must have approved it. I have also seen many articles which don't even have 5 relevant sources. Still I provided the best sources. Mohit235 (talk) 12:15, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please see other stuff exists. There are likely tens of thousands of articles that exist that should not- this does not mean that more should be added. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate articles to get by us in many ways, we can only deal with what we know about, when we have time to do it. If you would like to help us out, you can work with us to identify inappropriate articles you have seen for possible action. We need the help.
The draft was declined, not rejected. "Rejected" has a specific meaning in the draft process, that a draft may not be resubmitted. "Declined" means that a draft may be resubmitted if the concerns of the reviewer can be addressed. You need to show that Mr. Bhalla meets the special definition of a notable creative professional through summarizing what independent reliable sources say is important/significant/influential about him and his work. You did a great job documenting his body of work- but that by itself does not establish notability. 331dot (talk) 12:19, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't think any major changes I can make to the draft now. Because I have given the best sources. You can let me know the exact steps/sources to remove or add. Then I will resubmit and can you check. Mohit235 (talk) 12:23, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You need independent reliable sources that discuss his importance as a director and/or producer. Steven Spielberg merits an article because many independent sources discuss his contributions to the world of filmmaking and what makes those important. The article about him does not just list his work. 331dot (talk) 12:25, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I can't add 200-300 links but as suggested by you, I have found 2 links which describes Mr. Bhalla completely. I am putting that in my draft and resubmitting. You can have a check. Thanks Mohit235 (talk) 12:27, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'll let others check it. 331dot (talk) 12:29, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok Mohit235 (talk) 12:37, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Again, if you personally took the image of Mr. Pandey, fine. What is your connection with Mr. Pandey, since you were at his event and he posed for you when you took the image? If you didn't personally take the image of Mr. Bhalla, you need to address that as I have indicated. You will be blocked from editing if you do not adequately address these concerns. Copyright violations potentially put Wikipedia in legal jeopardy, so we must take copyright matters seriously. 331dot (talk) 12:40, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

There will be no copyright issue. I was a visitor at the BFM and clicked the picture. For Mr. Bhalla the source I have used is one I know. Hence I haven't done anything wrong. I hope you are cleared now. BTW I have resubmitted the articles with more relevant sources. Please have a look or make someone to look it. Mohit235 (talk) 12:59, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Willing to stay away, but I've been completely consistent with all my statements. I was very clear with my warning above and gave you a chance to address it, but you continued to insist that the image of Mr. Bhalla was okay in terms of copyright when it clearly is not(as the website you say you got it from says "all rights reserved"). Dear Admin, WP:UPE isn't relevant to me. I did it by mistake. Neither I was offered to this nor anyone guided me to do so. I just used an image and that is now deleted. So this doesn't apply on me. It was just a basic mistake. Please unblock. Thank You.

I do not believe this was "by mistake". There are still issues with violations of copyright as well that are unaddressed. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:30, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

No worries. Now I won't request anymore. I am not gonna use Wikipedia anymore. Won't be contributing anything to this community, everything is useless here. All the admins are just doing whatever they want. Elon Musk have picked a right name for you guys. You should adopt that very soon. Mohit235 (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Its not working dude. You guys are declining my request again and again without any detailed explanation. Even my published articles were moved to draft. Just because of jealousy Mohit235 (talk) 16:52, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I tried multiple times with all due respect. Still you guys denied everything, every contribution without any sense. Mohit235 (talk) 16:53, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
What is it about the decline messages that is unclear? If I was completely against you, I wouldn't be here trying to encourage you to be honest. 331dot (talk) 16:57, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
There is no reason to decline my request again and again. And why one of my page Guroudev Bhalla Screens was moved to draft space that too without any reason. There was no copyright issue, didn't used anyone else's thing then why?
This is all you guys are. Haters, cheaters, and so on... Mohit235 (talk) 17:00, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

There's no need to attract the attention of an administrator. Your unblock request is in a category that is patrolled by administrators. Also, you may have only one unblock request at a time. I've removed the extra one.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:22, 25 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

No it is not. We are volunteers, and there is no "duty" to do these immediately. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:29, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

There was a copyright problem with one of my page but what was wrong in the published page. All the admins on my talk page including you should leave this organization immediately or else should keep the name what Elon Musk suggested. You don't value anyone's work.
