Max Marinaio edit

I added as a draft for now. a new article about a guitarist but I think I forgot to enter the name of the artist as a title for the page. So when I read the draft I see the default "/Enter your new article name here" where can I modify the name of an article, still in draft? Mmrecords (talk) 02:14, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean User:Mmrecords/Max_Marinaio? Looks like it is titled correctly. Another editor moved it for you. Syrthiss (talk) 12:14, 18 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ok I managed to move this article to the right title which is a guitarist name should I put the subst:AFC submission/submit or what...? Till now I only edited existing articles... Mmrecords (talk) 23:47, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Luigi Boccherini edit

I added the external link to the Luigi Boccherini Music Institute

Alfredo Catalani edit

I discovered that the first link (already present)

produces a 404 error. So I subsituted that link with a new one as follows (Very poor resource anyway)

Lucca edit

I inserted notes about the direct access to the sea. Saying Lucca is near to Ligurian sea was misleading so I cited the Thyrrhrenian sea

Lucca is a city and comune in Tuscany, central Italy, situated on the river Serchio in a fertile plain

near the Tyrrhenian Sea. new part in bold

It is the capital city of the Province of Lucca. Among other reasons, it is famous for its intact Renaissance-era city walls.

Buccellato edit

I noticed that in this article the Buccellato of Lucca was defined as similat to the sicilian one. This is not exact. I tried to specify the differences.

A cake with the same name but with a different preparation and taste is the traditional cake of Lucca (Buccellato di Lucca).

It is donut-shaped and contains raisins and aniseed.

Its perfect matches are warm tea or cappuccino. It is usually consumed at about 16.00-17.00 pm but many also eat it for breakfast. A famous saying of the Lucchesi (people from Lucca) is: "those who come to Lucca without eating the Buccellato is like they never been there!".

Viareggio edit

Viareggio intervento del 26-02-11

substituted Ligurian Sea with Tyrrhenian Sea inserted link to Viareggio Carnival http://www.viareggio.ilcarnevale.com/

  • [1] Viareggio Carnival (in Italian), (in English)

Neo-Rockabilly edit

Created this article (I didn't even know it didn't exist) because I had used this term in another article. I will work on this again soon. Mmrecords (talk) 02:42, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Flying Cats edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Flying Cats requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Mmrecords. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 20:03, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

February 2020 edit

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page.

Cullen328 Let's discuss it 21:01, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Mmrecords (talk) 00:24, 6 February 2020 (UTC) Dear friends I have been accused to make advertising /promotion which is not true because all I did in my last editing is indicating the official website of the artist on that page. If you think that isn't a useful contribution or is "advertising" well... I do not agree with you, but just remove it. Sure I didn't expect to set the world on fire adding such information to that page. I see official websites on nearly every wikipedia artist pages... so I thought it was perfectly normal adding it. The second thing is that I have been accused to be an organization and that's another fake news, in fact I do not represent any organization. I do not want to polemize with anyone but in this world before condemning someone you should have evidences (not prejudice and assumptions). I am just one person who likes music and go to concerts and sometime I take pics of the concerts like everyone else. My contributions have always been honest and on various arguments. See them. If somebody don't like my "account name" I can change it there's no problem with it. I understand that it may seem a company name. But I have no business nor websites with that name! Ok? Just indicate me a company called mmrecords and I will change my username immediately. Thanks.Mmrecords (talk) 00:24, 6 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

If your intention here was to make an unblock request, you'll need to follow the instructions given above. --kingboyk (talk) 20:40, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I concur with kingboyk and Cullen328. You may well not be affiliated with Max Marinaio, but your username does suggest a connection. As Jeff G. notified you above, you will want to make sure that you have read through and fully understand COI in terms of requirements for conflicts of interest in regards to paid editing or having any sort of monetary connection to the subject of articles. Indefinite blocks are not permanent, but there's a series of undertakings one would need to complete in order to be unblocked. Doug Mehus T·C 23:34, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I concur, as well, given your claim to have photographed the subject live and in person with sufficient quality to illustrate a Wikipedia article and these search results.   — Jeff G. ツ 13:58, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
