Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Westfield IN Seal.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Westfield IN Seal.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:54, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Westfield-Washington Historical Society edit

Hello, Mkobrowski

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Westfield-Washington Historical Society for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

I refreshed, saw your tagging for deletion, I responded, saying it shouldn't be deleted, because of X and saved and the page was already deleted by someone else.
And this is why I stopped being involved in Wikipedia in the past. :-( Mkobrowski (talk) 18:10, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
This article was seen as promotional but, more importantly, there were also copyright issues with the content and violations are deleted pretty much immediately. If you have questions about this deletion, please contact the administrator who deleted the page (which you can see at the top of the deleted article) or bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Thank you. Will have a look. It was just linking to the Website that is owned by the Historical society and some other Wikipages, so not sure how that can cause copyright issues.....but I'll give it one more try ;-) Mkobrowski (talk) 18:43, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
