October 2009 edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because you appear to represent Wacker Construction Equipment AG. If, after reviewing that policy, you believe your username does not violate policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you can file for a change of username, or you can simply create a new account and start using that one instead. Thank you. Smartse (talk) 18:31, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Kramer Company edit

The article Kramer Company has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This company does not meet WP:CORP, I can't find any reliable sources about it. Furthermore it appears to have been created by an editor who has a conflict of interest.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Smartse (talk) 19:37, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Weidemann Company edit

The article Weidemann Company has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This company does not meet WP:CORP, there are only <100 hits for it on google. This article seems to have been created by someone with a conflict of interest too.

Company history edit

Adding more historical information to company related articles, rather than 'current' business news would create a more encyclopedic article. Sources could be cited from media other than the company web site to reduce claims of conflict of interest and satisfy verifiability of claims made. Any article about companies appear to atract the speedy delete brigade who just see them as adverts even for companies that nolonger exist, and cite non notability even if they know little if anything about that area of interest, as if not on the internet it does not exist for them - 79.74.13.123 (talk) 15:39, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, WackerNeuson, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 05:40, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

The "WNSE" clearly refers to "Wacker Neuson SE"; given the concerns here, one might surmise the "M" stands for "marketing". Kinu t/c 18:17, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, that was not my intention. Hopefully this name will not have a reason for complaint:

Hello, I'm a random uninvolved user. I see that you were blocked back in 2010. What has motivated you to request to be unblocked afeter almost 2 years? Part of the reason you were originally blocked is because the account appeared to be used for promotional editing with a conflict of interest in what you were editing. How do you intend to change this in the future? Hasteur (talk) 18:53, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Hasteuer, Thank you for your message. As i mentioned before, the intention of this account is not for promotional use. As i can see, the account was blocked due to its name, which refers to the company of the same name. However, there was never an edit with promotional purpose. Nevertheless I can understand that you assume a conflict of interest. I admit, that the naming was a mistake. I understand, that Wikipedia is not a business platform and has to prevent conflicts of interest. However, the only reason for the reactivation of this account is, that there are many mistakes and wrong information on sites of companys of the construction equipment industry, sites of construction equipment and the construction industry. I just want to help Wikipedia to fill in the missing information and to correct wrong ones. I guarantee that all information given will be neutral, non promotional and verifiable.

I noticed that you created a gallery in the article Compactor in which two out of three images were Wacker Neuson equipment.[1] This looked promotional to me, and I partly reverted it, leaving only one image of Wacker equipment. – Fayenatic London 12:48, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Wacker Neuson Logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Wacker Neuson Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:59, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
