Good to see you've signed up. The template above should be pretty useful for you as a beginner. Also, it is common to leave comments on one's user talk page even after the discussion is closed, so someone doesn't have to look through the edit history to refer back to a discussion. Also, don't forget to sign all of your posts on talk pages like this: ~~~~. Nufy8 02:23, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

By the way, in order for an image to appear on an article, you need to upload it to Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Image help for information on how to incorporate an uploaded file into an article. Nufy8 04:19, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Welcome template edit

I was just wondering, no offense intended, why you blanked out my welcome subpage? If you don't like the template being on your talkpage, I understand why you removed the code I placed here, but why did you blank out my subpage? Link, Hero of Wind 17:58, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

sorry about that, it was some weird linkage problem, i probly shouldnt have even deleted my own anyway, but you could probly ask a new arrival for a copy of there new subpage. like the one we had.

once again, im really sorry that happened, i clicked to remove the link and i saw a title page linkofazeroth Miish111 22:28, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I reverted my page to what it was before you deleted the template, so no harm done. :) Link, Hero of Wind 00:25, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Combine images. edit

Hi, Miish. Thanks for uploading new versions of Combine-related images, they do look pretty good. However, I would like to recommend cropping away empty spaces that are not needed in some images before uploading them, as they take up too much space in certain parts of the article, and create difficulties when adjusting the images. Thanks again, and enjoy your stay here.

Happy editting! :) ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 19:41, 30 May 2006 (UTC) ╫Reply

I was waiting for someone to comment, and i thought the same thing when i uploaded them; there was too much extra space. thanks for resizing it too.

and Happy editting! :) to you also.

About your HL2 images edit

!

There is no reason to delete an image reverted originally for reasons that don't apply to the picture in question.

furthermore, reverting an image bearing existance before the source of the problem of its deletion was discovered and the fact that it doesnt fit the properties of an image implied to be a problem for viewers of this article, and originaliy of the game, makes its further revertions UNNESSISARY.

!

The following images MAY OR MAY NOT fit the properties of a custom skin, and before reversion should undergo a test that obviously takes too much time.

Half-Life 2 Combine police.png has been proven in the past to bear a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Solider.png has been proven in the past to bear a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Prison Solider.png has been proven in the past to bear a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Elite.png has been proven in the past to bear a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Dropship.png has not been proven in the past to bear a custom skin, but will not be unreverted for other reasons.

Half-Life 2 Combine mortar.png DOES NOT bear a custom skin.

Half-Life 2 HeadcrabClassic.png has not been proven in the past to bear a custom skin, nut will not be unreverted.

Half-Life 2 Zombie1.png has not been proven in the past to bear a custom skin, so it will not be reverted.

Half-Life 2 ZombieFast.png has not been proven in the past to bear a custom skin, so it will not be reverted.

Half-Life 2 ZombiePoison.png has not been proven in the past to bear a custom skin, so it will not be reverted.

Half-Life 2 Antguard.png has been proven in the past to bear a custom skin

Interface bay.png DOES not have a custom skin

Combine interface panels.png DOES not have a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Bunker.png DOES not have a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Thumper Large.png DOES not have a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine Thumper.png DOES not have a custom skin

Half-Life 2 CombineGenerator.png DOES not have a custom skin

Razor Train01 White.png DOES not have a custom skin

Half-Life 2 Combine scanner.png DOES not have a custom skin, but is for some reason still reputed to have one.

It's hard to tell if some have custom skins or not because, as you said, you used the accentuate edges filter on them, making them look different from the regular models. I apologize if I reverted a screenshot that had no custom skin. However, for the record, FakeFactory's high-resolution skin pack covers almost all of HL2's textures. If you had some of his skins installed, there would be nothing unjustified with assuming that you probably had the rest of the pack installed too.
I am positive, however, that at least the dropship and headcrab are using FakeFactory's skin, though. If needed I can also provide comparison screenshots. MarphyBlack 05:05, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

yes, your right; it probably is hard to justify whether or not each vtf takes effect or not. you could have read the readme on his mod though, I think it has it on there User:Miish111 15:08, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Half-Life 2 Combine Solider new.png) edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Half-Life 2 Combine Solider new.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 13:04, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thankyou for your concern, but this image was no unlicensed... it's just unused. I also noticed I did not forget the pc/video game licensing option, is there any other reason for this? Unfourtunately this image is unused because of a users personal opinion "it is not a very good image" I dont know who that was, but its allright if you delete, it can't be doing any good in its current state.

Happy editing

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Interface bay.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Interface bay.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:08, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Template:User browser:Prefersexplorer edit

A tag has been placed on Template:User browser:Prefersexplorer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
