Are you ever amazed by what gets deleted from Wikipedia? edit

Michig, thank you for helping me revert the changes that random IP was making in the Alan McGee article. It is a bit of a mystery to me why that person objects to the inclusion of the personal life section and the Poptones citation. It's all properly sourced, because Mr. McGee seems to like talking to the media. Maybe it's McGee's mum doing this?  :-) Anyway, keep up the good work, and thanks again. -Hawkbreeze (talk) 18:34, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Never amazed any more. Maybe it's McGee himself, though I doubt it.--Michig (talk) 19:13, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

The A.M. edit

Thanks for the editing of that article! Is there any further information you could provide on the band? I've been searching for their self-titled record with no luck at all.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.14.49.15 (talkcontribs)

I don't know any more I'm afraid, and I've never seen their album myself.--Michig (talk) 20:43, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Peter Hammill chart placing edit

Thanks for adding the chart placing info to Patience (Peter Hammill album), but are you really sure about this? I could be wrong, but I've been a fan of Hammill's for many years and I didn't think any of his albums had ever made the indie chart. Have you actually got a copy of the book you cite? If so, mea culpa. --Richardrj talk email 09:04, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Great, thanks very much. You learn something new every day... --Richardrj talk email 09:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Embassy edit

The Embassy article is acceptable to me now. However its state prior to my intervention was very poor and way below what is acceptable on Wikipedia. May I suggest you read this tutorial and consider being mentored. Feel free to contact me if you need any guidance or help :) Betty Logan (talk) 20:17, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Black Market Hero edit

Hi. I noticed the redlink User:Michig/Black Market Hero at User talk:MBisanz#Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Black Market Hero. As far as I can tell, you requested deletion of the userfied article. According to WP:Merge and delete, the content that you merged must have a visible history. The article should be undeleted and moved to something like Talk:40 Below Summer/Black Market Hero. Let me know if you have any questions. Flatscan (talk) 04:10, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

There's not much I can do about this, not having the admin buttons. I think the best approach if trying to retain the history would be to restore the original article at its original location then redirect to 40 Below Summer.--Michig (talk) 08:05, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Would you do me a favor and request undeletion, since it's your user space? I'll take it from there. Thanks. Flatscan (talk) 03:30, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for making the request. I've moved the page back to Black Market Hero and tagged it with {{R from merge}}. Flatscan (talk) 02:32, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. Due to disruptive sockpuppetry, MBisanz reclosed WP:Articles for deletion/Black Market Hero as no consensus. I'm notifying you in case you're interested in recreating the article. Flatscan (talk) 04:27, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alan Cabal edit

None of those sources are new from the AFD'd version. Best.Bali ultimate (talk) 11:21, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I do not expect you to reverse yourself, but feel compelled to share that actually 5 of the article's sources are indeed new from any previous version and 2 of which were "discussed" at an earlier AfD but never added to the article until this time araound. Best regards, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 17:20, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I will email you some text, so as to not get folks upset about coyrighted information being used in a user talk page. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 18:38, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. It's too late to go through these now but I'll try to look through them tomorrow.--Michig (talk) 19:15, 31 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Good detective work on this AfD how for future reference did you find the Swedish source thanks. BigDuncTalk 19:36, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is there a wikiproject I got direct future questions too about notability of bands? BigDuncTalk 20:23, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Cool Ruler edit

Great work on the Gregory Isaacs article. I never knew Errol was a co-founder of African Museum! What's needed now is a good free pic. Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:06, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Funnily enough, after you wrote what you did, I immediately thought of Keith Hudson, and .. lo and behold!!
What is marvelous is just how many classic tracks are up on YouTube these days. Wwwhatsup (talk) 20:19, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

re: Broken Records (band) edit

You may want to look at Until the Earth Begins to Part as well, this is currently also listed for ProD (not by me) but for lack of content beyond a track-listing and failing WP:V. - 2 ... says you, says me 12:01, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I never got the chance to thank you for the improvements to Broken Records (band), the sourcing was definitely lacking before and Google hadn't come up with anything you found. - 2 ... says you, says me 16:42, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Have I Gone Insane? edit

I refer to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_reggae_musicians&diff=284649057&oldid=284369985 - I swear there was no article when I checked it. And I spelled it correctly. What's going on? How could I not see the article after putting it in the URL? -WarthogDemon 05:51, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
