Paul McGarr edit

Re - P.McGarr - This is a factual comment. Please do not remove. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.131.192 (talk) 18:38, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The comment is factual and reflects his heavy involvement in politics. I have had no experience of his teaching and am therefore not able to comment on this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.131.192 (talk) 19:00, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nevertheless, your comment purports to reflect on his teaching. In addition it breaches the Wikipedia guidelines for the biographies of living people. --Mia-etol (talk) 19:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Happy with Syntax change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.131.192 (talk) 22:58, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gerry Healy edit

Please don't re-add content from banned editors, as you did at Gerry Healy. When editors are banned, it means that they are not allowed to contribute content to Wikipedia, regardless of its merit. Thank you. ~Eliz81(C) 21:02, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Punctuation edit

Hi - please don't change articles to use "curly" apostrophes and quotation marks. See the Manual of Style, which says that "The exclusive use of straight quotes and apostrophes is recommended." Warofdreams talk 00:09, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Raytheon 9 edit

I think you've certainly been very fair -- as well as patient -- in your requests for discussion. Given the lack of response, I think you should just go ahead and work on the article (NPOV, of course). If anyone has a problem, the discussion will begin quickly enough. By the way, from the start I have felt that "Raytheon 9" might be the wrong title for this article. I thought that perhaps this should be an article about the Derry Anti-War Coalition with Raytheon 9 as a subheading. I figured the Raytheon group was a subset of the DAWC. At any rate, there should be an explanation given about the DAWC (history, organization, and goals) if not on the Raytheon article, than on its own page. Perhaps you can consider this? Workers' Barnstar edit

  The Workers' Barnstar

As long as I breathe I hope. As long as I breathe I shall fight for the future, that radiant future, in which man, strong and beautiful, will become master of the drifting stream of his history and will direct it towards the boundless horizons of beauty, joy and happiness! -Trotsky

George Gilmore edit

Yeah, that looks better. It'd be nicer to have a full paragraph, but the article's kind of short anyway. I'll remove the tag. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 15:01, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anti-semitism and Marx edit

Just in case you didn't know, I have added a comment regarding your insertion of Draper's views on Marx's anti-semitism at the bottom of the discussion page on the Karl Marx page. I would like your views before I make any further edits to the article. JohnyGoodman (talk) 01:23, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
