Happy Halloween!!! edit

Wilhelmina Will has given you some caramel and a candy apple! Caramel and candy-coated apples are fun Halloween treats, and promote WikiLove on Halloween. Hopefully these have made your Halloween (and the proceeding days) much sweeter. Happy Halloween!

'"On Psych, A USA Network TV series Episode 8, The Tao of Gus, Season 6, Shawn refers to pumpkins as "Halloween Apples" because he thinks all round fruits are a type of apple.

If Trick-or-treaters come your way, add {{subst:Halloween apples}} to their talkpage with a spoooooky message!

Your first editathon edit

Hello Melodee, I've been thinking of you today. I'm in Senate House Library for the #WW1Dissent editathon. Your comprehensive event page doesn't seem to have an event hashtag. Hope it's all going well; I'll read your event report with interest. We're about to hand over to Kansas - the US national museum of World War 1. See you on Twitter perhaps, or elsewhere. Edinburgh Gothic and Sheffield Gothic Wikipedia editathon - Saturday 12th November 2016 edit

Hi, My name is Ewan McAndrew and I work as the Wikimedian in residence at the University of Edinburgh. We are looking to hold an Edinburgh Gothic Wikipedia editathon on Saturday 12th November to mark Robert Louis Stevenson Day 2016 in collaboration with the National Library of Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland and celebrate all things gothic by having a day of activities including Wikipedia editing of pages related to gothic literature, gothic films, contemporary gothic literature, gothic art, gothic architecture etc. The Centre for Gothic Studies at the University of Sheffield have been in touch to say they would like to be involved in the event and hold their own Wikipedia editathon at the University of Sheffield that day. We'd love to be able to run synchronous Wikipedia editing sessions in Edinburgh & Sheffield and your name came up in conversation with Richard at Wikimedia UK as someone who might be able to offer Wikipedia training to our Sheffield participants. If you would like to be involved or know someone who may then please do let me know. The event page is here: [[1]]. Best regards, Ewan / Stinglehammer (talk) 15:02, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
