Infobox edit

I added the website infobox template might the TV show one be more appropriate?

Is this better? I am rdm_box on the forums, by the way. rdm_box 00:18, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

I think the TV show one is better, since I do believe the Yogscast is most famous for their Youtube shows, and everything else has grown out of that. Metalbunny (talk) 10:06, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
After looking at the Red vs Blue page, I thought the machinima infobox might work as well. I'll put one in for comparison here:

I like the TV-show one better personally. It just looks nicer. The machinima box looks so... unfinished. Either way they both contain virtually the same information, though I dunno if they auto-categorize, which as I see it would be the main reason to go with one over the other. Categories edit

Spent some time browsing through the categories while waiting for my ride. Red vs Blue is (among others) under Animated internet series and Internet memes, so I stuck those on for sure. Stuck it under a couple others as well that seemed semi-relevant. I can't for the life of me find a category that fits properly, but I guess the categorizers can handle that once we get the article live. Metalbunny (talk) 11:11, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Gonna be looking for supporting references first, to comply with the Wikipedia requirements. No point in writing a whole bunch if we can't give the references required to keep the article from getting deleted. Gotta figure out the proper ref templates too, atleast since I haven't been on en.wiki in a while. Metalbunny (talk) 10:06, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Removed the links from here, the wiki don't like me saving the page every 2 minutes for some reason... feel free to dump links here you think may be worth looking into for sourcing or reference. Chances are there's still some I haven't located even after going through 25 pages of Google results. Metalbunny (talk) 13:31, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Reg: "(Fixed some brackets, added most subbed info. Not sure if http://vidstatsx.com/BlueXephos/youtube-channel is good enough source)". If it's static data it should be an ok source, otherwise I am not too sure. Believe the general rule is that you should use a source till you find a better, and as long as it's 3rd party it's "ok". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalbunny (talkcontribs) 20:39, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Templates list edit

- just throwing these in here to make it easier to find them again

Origins edit

I'm not sure if the origins of the name deserves its own section. Perhaps a section called 'origins', describing the way they started producing content as well. rdm_box 01:47, 19 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rdmbox (talkcontribs)

Yeah I know what you mean. I just threw it in there like that for now, since it's basically just copied from the Yogwiki. It's also missing a whole paragraph as I see it, about how it became yogscast (it's mentioned in the 2nd or 3rd WoW video). I write (probably a bit oddly) by doing paragraphs at a time and moving them around to build the sections/chapters in a way that makes sense. Figuring out the proper headings and sectioning and such is simply easier once I get it all stitched together in a coherent manner.Metalbunny (talk) 13:41, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bios edit

Wanted to add mini-bios of the top cast members (as in, the ones in the info box), but usable sources are scarse if even existing. Not that there's a deadline for the article, but may have to leave that bit out for the time being. Got a bunch of other stuff to deal with atm (plus my monitor decided to break today so may be without computer for a while), so work is going a lot slower.Metalbunny (talk) 20:53, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
