Keri Hilson - In a Perfect World

According to WP:record charts when different versions of an album or song chart the best way to show it is by including a note directly beneath the chart like in my edits and not by using asterisks like you did. Also the Italian chart you added was not sourced. Remember all info on wiki needs to be WP:verifiable Lil-unique1 (talk) 20:55, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Gypsy

It was explained to you before with In a Perfect World... that when different versions of a song or album appear on a chart you should use a note directly below the chart. You've changed the notes from Gypsy to a format that's incorrect. WP:record charts does clearly outline how charts are supposed to appear. I disagree. Putting * next to the numbers or [a], [b] etc. is more messy. This way is uniform and consistant. Still if you think otherwise bring it up on the talk page for record charts.Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:59, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Diana Vickers

I saw that you warned 90.220... If you could, please WP:AGF. The reverts are happening because people aren't leaving civil comments explaining what they're doing, and not discussing. 90's style seems to be not to discuss very much, though he did respond to me fairly quickly when I asked a direct, polite question about his chart citations. That link you put back, with the Failed verification tag - I checked, and sure enough, it fails verification, and will always fail, as its "statistics" reports seem to come from users - correct me if I'm wrong. IMHO this justifies the removal which 90 did, but didn't document. So I do not think what 90 did can be correctly labeled vandalism. --Lexein (talk) 02:13, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for replying. I saw the deletion of the entire citation along with the failed verification tag - that deletion does seem legitimate to me. It's rude when IP users don't leave edit comments, but the deletion itself, on its own, was valid, without regard to history. It's a citation with zero value for chart statistics. No Slovak chart archive?

Hi, I hope you can explain further your summary for this edit, where you said "slovak charts site has no archive". They go back to 2006 (which certainly covers the time period for Impossible (Shontelle song)). How is that not an archive? The singlechart template wouldn't produce a ref that didn't look like it'd endure. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 21:28, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

There is no link to archives, the link is the same for the week 20 of 2007, for the week 39 of 2008 and for all the other weeks. And the link I put is better: it has also the chart cronology of the song. ׺°”˜`”°º×ηυηzια׺°”˜`”°º× 21:33, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply, which I've copied above. There's a note in the generated ref about which chart to select; it's a simple instruction for a simple page, so it's hardly difficult for most users to verify the peak. Also, {{singlechart}} formats the reference in a standardized way with a full citation; you have provided a single long (ugly) bare URL which, even if you added the rest of a citation, and did it so that it matched the other refs, you'd have to do it that same way each time you added a Slovakian ref. And if you're going to do Slovakia that way, you'd probably better start doing Czech Republic, too.

If you don't know what you did wrong, the article still used the Irish single chart template when you updated it, which links to irish-charts.com. That site has not updated. Irma.ie has, and you were clearly looking at irma.ie, so provide a link to that site in future like I just did, otherwise this is adding unsourced information. Thank you. Doesn't matter, the information you added needs to be verifiable at the time you add it. That's what WP:V even says. Nobody else, if they checked, would know when that source was going to update and so therefore it's not proven by the source. Also, there's no assurance of when it will update. It doesn't "update itself"—it has to be done by people, and in the past it hasn't updated for several weeks. Ss112 12:22, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

FDR Charts & Tophit for KAZKA band

Hello Merynancy. (Sorry for my English.) Thank you for this text. But I'd like to talk about Tophit. It's Russian chart, and not Ukrainian. You can not add it. Yes, the site show info about Ukraine and Kiev, but it's not always correct. The song 'Svyata' was very popular in Ukraine, but not in Russia. And Tophit shows that the song had only #183. For Russia -- yes, but not for Ukraine. And FDR Charts shows TOP-40 of Ukraine. This company started in 1998 (see screen 2002) and works now. I don't understand why users delete it. Even if you don't want to use FDR, use Tophit is not correct. Thank you. P.S. Ukrainian TV channel MusicBosxUa shows info about TOP-40 of FDR. Kazka

Hello. Thank you for your leaving me a message on my talk page. I read carefully now on WP:Charts and found out that there isn't added any official charts website about Bulgaria so I'm not gonna add again, even though Kazka was number 1 on Bulgarian radios. But, I would please you to read carefully the greek source as it seems you don't know how the greek charts work. Kazka's song "Plakala" in english, ("Cry") was released by the greek label Panik Records and since then have entered the charts. Airplay Greek charts have an official source, that is IFPI Greece. This is not a reason to be ignored just because the official website of IFPI Greece does not provide an archive for each category every week. Since they provide an archive and the website of Airplay Charts writes their official source is IFPI then I don't see any other reason. It won't be added again by me, but this is wrong. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
