Welcome

edit

Hello Mervyn, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions so far - finance is an area of Wikipedia that probably needs a bit of work at the moment.

You might find these links helpful in editing pages or creating new ones: How to edit a page, Tutorial, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should probably read our policies at some point too.

But don't feel you have to read every policy document before you do anything. Dive in, be bold in editing, and if you do anything wrong, someone will be quick to correct it and let you know (hopefully, politely!)

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

Again, welcome! -- ALargeElk | Talk 10:24, 15 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Printable version

edit

Hi Merv. Yes, as far as I know, links to printable pages should work for anyone, logged in or not. -- ALargeElk | Talk 16:09, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Links to the printable version won't work with the default monobook skin. The only way to get such a link is to log in and change your skin in special:preferences. However, there is no need for a printable link with monobook. The print stylesheet is applied automatically when you print the page. If you click "print preview" in your browser whilst using the default style sheet you will see the printable version. Angela. 14:50, Jul 27, 2004 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't know of anyway to specify the css used in the referring URL. You could try asking on the Wikipedia:Help desk but I'm not sure it's possible. Angela. 14:33, Jul 29, 2004 (UTC)
