Hi there! You can always create a temporary page at User:Meliss402/Temp, replacing "Temp" with the name of the article. This keeps your work out of the main article area and lets you see how your work will look without others being able to easily find it.

Keep in mind, however, that pages you create, even in your own user area, should not be used as blogs, non-Wikipedia related discussion pages, advertising for commercial products or services, or consist only of links to outside, non-Wikipedia related sites. (See a full explanation of the acceptable uses of Wikipedia user subpages at Wikipedia:User pages.)

Cheers and happy editing! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:25, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 21:41, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Demi Lovato Box

edit

Hi, I put the "This User Thinks Demi Lovato Has An Amazing Voice" box on my page. Is it ok? If not, i'll take it off. If it's not, i'm sorry I took it. But at least I asked! So can I use it? I'll credit you. Empezardesdecero1718 (talk) 19:49, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Adopting you

edit

Hi Meliss402! Sure, I'd love to adopt you to help and show you around with everything. There's nothing "official" that we have to do for the adoption. Just confirm that I've adopted you, and I'll add a userbox to your user page and mine indicating the adoption, then we'll get started.

I won't be around for all day today, but I should be back online at about 12:00 UTC, June 22. See you! JamieS93 11:09, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey Meliss, glad to hear back from you! Sorry for not really being clear about the "confirming" thing – I was just meaning to "make sure" before adding the adoption userboxes to both of our userpages, which I'm doing right now. Ask me any specific questions right now, such as editing pages like your user page as you were saying initially.
And I'm fine if you use abbreviations as long as I can still read it. :) JamieS93 13:14, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem!   Those are called "navigation bars", and there's some info and examples here. You could ask Ryan (RyRy5) if you could use his main navigational bar on your own user page. He also designs user pages as well. (Ryan hasn't been as active on Wikipedia lately, but still comes on and makes some edits every day). You could always ask any other user about using their "NavBars" too, if anything else catches your attention. JamieS93 13:39, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cheetahgirls3 238x257.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Cheetahgirls3 238x257.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:36, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for Image:Taylor in Concert.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Taylor in Concert.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
