Los angeles diaper drive edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Los angeles diaper drive, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.diaperdrive.com/story.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 03:07, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Note that I have just deleted the page. For one thing, you would need to provide some proof that the material on that website is released under a GFDL compatible license. But even then, the fact is that the article should not be written by someone within this organization as this puts you in a position of conflict of interest. The content one would expect to find on the homepage of the organization does not usually feature the sort of objectivity and neutrality one seeks for Wikipedia. Wipeout/Japanese game Shows edit

The concept of the show seems similar to Fear Factor, but that fact was cited from the article AND if you look at the game shows they are almost exactly identical. You can't delete cited facts from articles, especially one as verified and legitimate as CNN. Small5th (talk) 22:12, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't really understand how can a statement "the show was based on Japanese game shows" can remotely be an opinion. When something is based on something, it is a fact. Here's a direct quote from the CNN article:
With the increasing popularity of YouTube clips from Japanese game shows such as "Endurance," "Hole in the Wall" and "Human Tetris," U.S. networks -- never shy about imitation -- are bringing similar antics to their prime-time schedules.
On Tuesday, ABC is airing back-to-back premieres of "Wipeout" (8 p.m EDT) and "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" (9 p.m. EDT), :with a domestic edition of "Hole in the Wall" coming this fall on Fox.
you're right...it does NOT clearly state it is based off of the Japanese game shows, so try this article:
http://www.huliq.com/62671/wipeout-and-i-survived-japanese-game-show-tonight
or this one:
http://www.boston.com/ae/tv/articles/2008/06/24/will_americans_fall_for_japanese_style_game_shows/
The last one states affirmation to your statement...that it was created by the Fear Factor producers. HOWEVER, it also stated Wipeout has "a clear kinship to Tokyo game show fare." Just thought you would like to know =PSmall5th (talk) 23:13, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I also added the quote where Matt Kunitz stated that the show was "90% Fear Factor Inspired and 10% japanese games show" Small5th (talk) 23:30, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Celebrity Circus (U.S. TV series) edit

The American version is based on the Australian version. Endemol created Celebrity Circus in Australia and sold the rights to the UK and USA with the UK renaming the show Cirque de Celebrite. Poland was the second country to broadcast their own version of Celebrity Circus and was the first to use the format currently used in the USA version. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 07:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
