December 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Mdvanii, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:11, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. User is STILL systematicly undoing all edits on Mel Odom (artist) Muotinukke (talk) 13:46, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please refer to the Talk Page, and remember that YOU are undoing MY edit from December 24th 2010, which the Page History shows is PRIOR to your edits which are undoing MY work. Thank you kindly. The Talk Page in question may be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mel_Odom_(artist) Mary Cross (talk) 13:56, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. User is STILL systematicly undoing all edits on Mel Odom (artist) I have given you very valid reasons TO NOT to revert my edits on the talk page. And yet youre still reverting without a valid reason. Muotinukke (talk) 14:17, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Muotinukke (talk) 14:24, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

January 2011 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mel Odom (artist). Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --OnoremDil 14:44, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for edit warring edit

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Note: Any admin may unblock this account, without consulting with me first, should the above user pledge to stop editing the disputed articles and use the talk page instead of reverting. --Jayron32 15:23, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Please forgive my edit warring. I am relatively new to Wikipedia and though I did try to discuss this matter and reach resolution on the Mel Odom (artist) Talk Page, I also engaged in edit reversion, or warring.Mary Cross (talk) 15:27, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Mary, what do you intend to do going forward? How will you approach this dispute differently? --Jayron32 15:33, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I will not revert another editor's changes without first bringing up the topic in the article's Talk Page. I should have done solely kept to the Talk Page, and skipped making my own changes.Mary Cross (talk) 15:37, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I will be unblocking you presently. May I suggest that the two of you ask for help at Wikipedia:Third opinion which is a location to seek help in resolving disputes. You can also get help at a number of places listed at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. --Jayron32 15:39, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I have done as you instructed and sought a Third Opinion.Mary Cross (talk) 16:37, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
