Welcome! edit

Hello, Mariamnozadze, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Bera Ivanishvili edit

In your edit to Ivanishvili's page, you note that "I have been instructed by Bera himself as his Digital Marketing Manager to edit his Wikipedia page and update it accordingly. I have added information about his public image, his early life and the instruments he plays. I have also made the page closer to that of an artist's and singer's." Unfortunately, Ivanishvili doesn't own this page and does not get to direct its content. As his Digital Marketing Manager, you have an obvious conflict of interest and should not directly edit his page. Rather, if there are factual errors that need to be addressed, please request an edit at the article's talk page and someone else will evaluate your request and make any necessary changes. Hello, I would like to ask for an admin help to figure out how to edit this article, I can provide content and sources according to the edits I have made to prove the legitimacy of them. I would like someone to maybe read what I have written and correct it and publish it accordingly. Thank youMariamnozadze (talk) 15:39, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

As your request does not specifically need the help of an administrator, I have made it a general request. All editors are capable of assisting with writing an article. 331dot (talk) 18:15, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Please ask something specific that can be answered. Also find time to read How to Contribute to Wikipedia. – Ammarpad (talk) 00:40, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hi Mariamnozadze, thank you very much for the initial open disclosure. This is almost ideal.

If I see correctly, the requirements of Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure policy have almost, but not completely, been adhered to. Because your user page, User:Mariamnozadze, currently contains no text, the edit Special:Diff/914166771, strictly speaking, seems to violate the policy, as neither your user page, nor the edit summary, nor the talk page itself, seem to contain the required disclosure. This shows how easy it is to make a mistake in this regard; the easiest way to avoid this problem is to create your user page with the required disclosure text.

Best regards

Hello ToBeFree,

What exactly should I disclose in my talk page, edit summary or user page? Could you give an example? Also, after disclosing should I try to edit the article again or will the changes automatically take place?

Best,

Mariamnozadze (talk) 14:00, 7 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

There are very clear instructions here: WP:PAID (read especially the "How to disclose" section). As for the edits you have made to the Bera Ivanishvili page, they will not be automatically restored. They were reverted (by me) because they were overtly promotional, which is not allowed at Wikipedia. All content at Wikipedia must strive for a neutral point of view. If you insist on editing the article directly (against advice not to do so), you must adhere to the neutrality policy. Any edits that do not will again be reverted. Thank you, I didn't mean it to sound "overly promotional" and thank you for the advice. I will look through the policies and I do not insist on editing against WP:PAID .
