Thanks for your Reply - Nevertheless there are still Questions

First of all thank you for your swift reply.

I had a look through the external link guidelines where it sais that a site should be linked if it contains:

-"Articles about any organization, person, web site, ... " or if its: -"[a site] with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article, such as reviews and interviews"

www.dusty-springfield.com has a unique article transcription archive quoting correct sources. We also offer a constantly updated news section, a huge photo archive and personal quotes of the artist.

I think that should justify the adding of the site.

It also says that following links should be avoided - I can't see that we fit into any of these categories:

Except for a link to a page that is the subject of the article or an official page of the article subject—and not prohibited by restrictions on linking—one should avoid:

-Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article. (Unique resource: authentic Article collection, quotes, footage, news - new releases...)

-Any site that misleads the reader by use of factually inaccurate material or unverifiable research. See Reliable sources for explanations of the terms "factually inaccurate material" or "unverifiable research". (We mainly use primary sources such as article transcriptions, as mentioned.)

-Any site that attempts to surreptitiously install malware on a visitor's computer. (None of that)

-Links mainly intended to promote a website. See External link spamming. (None of that)

-Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services. For example, instead of linking to a commercial bookstore site, use the "ISBN" linking format, giving readers an opportunity to search a wide variety of free and non-free book sources. (the only thing we sell on the site is a calendar - profits are sent to the Royal Marsden Hospital where Dusty Springfield was treated because of her cancer.

-Links to sites with objectionable amounts of advertising. (No advertisement on our site)

-Links to sites that require payment or registration to view the relevant content.(absolutely free)

-Sites that are inaccessible to a substantial number of users, such as sites that only work with a specific browser. (statistics show we are accessible - no errors on the site)

-Direct links to documents that require external applications (such as Flash or Java) to view the relevant content, unless the article is about such rich media. If you do link to such material make a note of what application is required. (No problem on our site)

-Links to search engine and aggregated results pages. (Also not the case)

-Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace or Fan sites), discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups) or USENET. (Not the case)

-Links to blogs and personal web pages, except those written by a recognized authority. (It's written by an experienced admin team with the backin of Dusty friends and experts such as Simon Bell (backin singer), Doug Reece (The Echoes), Jonathan Cohen, Paul Howes (DSB) and many more...

-Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject: the link should be directly related to the subject of the article. (it's purely about Dusty Springfield)

-Lists of links to manufacturers and suppliers. (no commercial background)

In your eyes - what doesn't justify the link? I just went through all the guidelines and can't see anything. Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks a lot for helping me with this,
