CCD and cell phones edit

Hi. Just so you know, George Carlo did NOT propose this idea originally; he read the news report, and used this secondary source as the basis without confirming its reliability first - turns out, there was no primary source for the claim. As a result, citing the news report as evidence linking cell phones to CCD was wrong, in every way possible - that is (1) the report was not about cell phones, and (2) mentioned nothing in it related to CCD. No one has ever actually proposed a link between cell phones and CCD; it was a pair of reporters who said someone did, but they were mistaken. It would be like me adding something to the article on George W. Bush that says "It has been proposed that George W. Bush emits ionizing radiation from his body that keeps him free of harmful bacteria". There is no primary, citable source for the proposal. Dyanega (talk) 18:12, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I will reiterate what Rossami has just pointed out: it's not that the "veracity of the claim is disputed" - THE CLAIM ITSELF WAS NEVER MADE, so there is nothing to "dispute". It was a mistake made by the journalists involved, no one ever claimed there was a link of cell phones to CCD. Dyanega (talk) 21:43, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
