Thankful Villages edit

Welcome to Wikipedia
Unfortunately, I have had to revert your alteration to the Thankful Villages list, changing Butterton to a "Doubly Thankful" village, as it contradicts the only source used in that article for Doubly Thankful villages.
Whilst we can add information not in the existing sources, that information must be verifiable in published, reliable, independent sources, and not the result of any original research.

Hello again Arjayay. Okay, Tom Morgan and his men cannot verify WW11 Doubly Thankful research as their forte is WW1 as has already been said. I have contacted Jon Kelly who wrote the article in the BBC News Magazine in November 2011 which supposedly led to the Wikipedia page being constructed? He says the BBC have no plans to write anything re Thankful/Doubly Thankful Villages at the present time. This leaves the Press......which paper do you suggest I contact in order to get something published and thus get our Doubly Thankful status verified? I have to say we in Butterton are not the only village wanting this research verified and I fear some have gone ahead declaring themselves Doubly Thankful, having plaques made and getting them dedicated without said verification. A DILEMNA !!MagstysoMagstyso (talk) 13:04, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Arjayay....After 4 years of research and communication between other Doubly Thankful Villages, I know there to be 19 at present and we are 17th. WHY can we not get the recognition we deserve???!! Why does it have to stop at 14 as determined by Arthur Mee who stated this fact in 1933?? There is no authority similar to Tom Morgan and his team to rubber stamp Doubly Thankfulness. I have pursued all writers of articles whether they be in magazines, newspapers or on BBC sites and they all say they do not have authority to authenticate our claim although they quote our Doubly Thankfulness. WHEN will you accept this fact and allow us our rights?Magstyso (talk) 15:03, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

PLEASE EXPLAIN to me how Bradbourne in Derbyshire managed to get Doubly Thankfulness......Magstyso (talk) 22:05, 18 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Magstyso
I have just found the post you left on my talk page on 25 October, you added that to the bottom of another post, at the top of the page, not the bottom, so I did not see it at the time.
I suspect the above messages (which I have spaced out, to make them more readable) may have been answered by recent BBC articles? If not, the problem is that Wikipedia does not allow WP:Original research, only information published by reliable, independent, sources, so you will need to wait until this occurs, unless it has happened in the meantime.
Unfortunately, that page has been plagued by people just adding their village, and I am not the only editor reverting unsourced claims.
As for your question about "e-mail this user" that option is only available to editors who have enabled e-mail - which, as it does not appear in your panel, I assume you have not. To enable it please see "Preferences" tab (at top of this page) then "user profile" and it is near the bottom. - Arjayay (talk) 15:20, 8 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
