Patrolling user pages

Hey. Could you please stop patrolling user pages for a while? Multiple editors have pointed out the issues you have with talk pages, and the sequence of reverts on Isabelle Belato's user page is symptomatic of the same thing. My suggestion is if you have to/want to keep patrolling, stick to doing it in the main space for now. Sideswipe9th (talk) 19:55, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

I didn’t mean to revert on IB’s userpage, I thought the user editing it was someone else. I sincerely apologize, and for now, I shall stick to patrolling main space articles. Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 20:00, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Thanks. My other advice is to just slow down, and take your time. You don't need to revert every edit you find suspicious instantly. Take a moment to read the situation at hand, and check into the user(s) involved. You've got the right idea, you just need to work on how you're doing it :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 20:06, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Talk pages

Please read WP:BLANKING. For the most part, editors can remove posts from their talk page.-- Ponyobons mots 22:39, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Oh, sorry, I thought it was if one user replaces another user's comment with their own comment. Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 22:43, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
I was about to say the same thing about User talk:Lacipetom. Editors can remove content from their own talk pages. If you feel like an editor has personally attacked you, do not rever their edit. Just removing the offending content and add {{rpa}} and it will add (Personal attack removed) instead of the unacceptable content. But never edit-war with an editor about what they want or don't want on their User pages. There are only a few things, like unblock notices, that editors are obliged to keep on their talk pages, otherwise, they are free to remove whatever else is posted there, even if they are blocked. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:55, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
  • Please stop over-patrolling user talk pages. Seriously. I've seen you unnecessarily remove comments on multiple talk pages of blocked users. Unless the posts are abusive or particularly disruptive, it's just poking the bear.-- Ponyobons mots 20:49, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
Repeating this advice above, please don't edit war on other people's user talk pages. Report this to an admin if the talk page is being abused by the blocked user. —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 00:31, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
[1] This is exactly the over patrolling that you were requested to stop. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:12, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
@ScottishFinnishRadish Are you saying that I should not blank a troll's talk page? Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 01:00, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Correct. Unless it is plainly offensive or disruptive is not worth reverting, and only feeds the trolls. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 01:10, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Would you consider "mods r luzas" disruptive? Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 01:11, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Eh, I saw it and didn't care enough to revert. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 01:14, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
If the vandal's gone to bed, then would it be worth reverting? Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 01:19, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Why? If you don't look at it it's like it's not even there. Much like this, ignoring it is much more effective. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 01:23, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
  • Seriously, stop over-patrolling talk pages. There was no reason to remove this. It was, in fact, the evidence I used to check the account in the first place. If I thought it should be removed I would have done it myself when I was on the page. It's getting very frustrating asking you the same thing repeatedly.-- Ponyobons mots 22:06, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
OK, I'm sorry, I will stop trying to over-patrol talk pages during times like these. Next time I shall keep the talk page messages. Magnatyrannus (talk | contribs) 22:15, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
[2] Also stop policing other editors' talk page edits. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:15, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
  • This is not a personal attack. It's mild incivility. I'm extremely close to formulating a topic ban request that would prevent you from editing user talk pages. If you need to warn someone while doing routine vandalism patrol, that's fine. Stop specifically patrolling user talk space looking for things to revert as you don't understand the nuance involved and are just stirring up drama. -- Ponyobons mots 17:31, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
Magnatyrannus, I first mentioned this to you nearly a month ago. This is bordering into incompetence. I recommend you simply avoid editing the talk pages of disruptive editors of your own volition, at the very least temporarily. DatGuyTalkContribs 17:37, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 17:58, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
