School edit
This pattern works particularly well for school kids, who probably make up 50% of vandals. If they start vandalizing at 9 AM one day, then the block will expire at 4 PM the next day, by which time they'll no longer have access to school computers. Conversely, if they can't do it at school and instead start vandalizing at 3 PM one day, then the block will last until 10 PM by which time they're probably asleep. To put it in more technical terms, most children are in a single "setting" of life for no more than 7 hours. RedPanda25 19:56, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
