Fen Tigers

edit

I have removed your entry on the Fen Tigers disambiguation page that referred to them as being people from East Anglia. This is because:

  • the citation you gave did not support the statement
  • the citation is not a reliable source because it is a personal website (I'm not saying that it is your personal site)
  • there are numerous references in books to Fenslodgers/Gyrvii/Breedlings etc and I've yet to find one that specifically refers to the Fens of East Anglia, although plenty refer to the fens of Lincolnshire. And the ones in Lincolnshire seem never to be referred to as Fen Tigers.

If you can find a reliable source then feel free to enter the information again. I'll keep an eye on the page and please feel free to contact me if you need any help or advice regarding this. - Sitush (talk) 09:29, 18 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
