I've recently bought a CD album titled "The Best of Burl Ives" (Spectrum/Half-Moon Music HMNCD006 issued 1997) which, while quite comprehensive - 23 tracks - the one song it does NOT contain is "Ugly Bug Ball", a song I remember fondly from my formative years. I thought it odd, but no, worry, it'll turn up on another compilation... Only, it doesn't!
Does anybody know (a) IF the song is included on a 'Best Of...' or Greatest Hits album or (b) if not, why not?
