Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ceramic Technology Inc. edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ceramic Technology Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 🐍Helen🐍 20:12, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

How can I improve my article? edit

I need advice on improving my Ceramic Technology article. What can I do to make it more neutral? Mackenzie O'Brien (talk) 12:31, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Based on your draft, I gather that you might work for the company. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing for information on required formal disclosures.
Your draft had no sources. A Wikipedia article about a company should summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself or what it considers to be its own history, only in what others completely unconnected with the company choose to say about it. Please read Your first article. 331dot (talk) 12:58, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

May I Objectively Write About Mineral Processing? edit

Please help me with... Would writing about ceramic piping objectively be a better way to write an article about mining technology? Or is there not enough public interest in mining technology for me to do so? I appreciate your feedback; thank you for taking the time to respond! Mackenzie O'Brien (talk) 13:22, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

You may write about that subject if it receives significant coverage in independent reliable sources- after you make the required formal disclosures I mention above. 331dot (talk) 15:43, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest? edit

How do I prove I'm not a conflict of interest? I do not work for the company that I wrote the article for and I am not getting paid for the article. Is there any way for me to prove I am not a conflict of interest? Thank you for taking the time to respond; I really appreciate it! Mackenzie O'Brien (talk) 12:36, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Mackenzie O'Brien: You shouldn't really need to prove anything – I assume just saying so should be plenty. CC'ing 331dot. Bsoyka (talk · contribs) 13:12, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
One cannot prove a negative, so if you have no conflict of interest, okay. I would be curious as to how you came to edit about that company. 331dot (talk) 13:33, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@331dot: I'm a calculus student interested in mineral processing. Grew up around it and I just wanted to pay homage to the industry is all. Thank you both for taking the time to reply to me over the past few days. I'm new to Wikipedia and I really appreciate your support. Mackenzie O'Brien (talk) 13:45, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your clarification. 331dot (talk) 13:51, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
No problem at all – I'm happy we were able to sort this out and I wish you all the best with your editing on Wikipedia. (My talk page always open if you have questions!) Bsoyka (talk · contribs) 20:07, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
