Image in signature edit

Hey, I noticed your using an image in your signature. I wanted to let you know that you probably shouldn't be doing this. See WP:SIG#Images for the relevant guideline. BigNate37(T) 19:07, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, sorry. I changed that.--Mac Lover Talk 19:51, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

You wrote me about Alyosha edit

Your entire ms to my usertalk was:

Please remove the part about Alyosha and his wikipresence, because you do not know.

I searched and found no userpage or contributions by user:alyosha, so as far as i can tell the comment in question was accurate when it was written, and remains accurate. Please share any info to the contrary. Or maybe i'm not understanding you -- could explain your complaint? "alyosha" (talk) 17:04, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's possible that he is under a username, not his real name.--Mac Lover Talk 18:02, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
You seem to have misunderstood. The statement you objected to was only about the username, not one of the many people with that name. "alyosha" (talk) 19:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
To explain further, just in case it helps: i put the "Intro / newbie note re my (user)name" at the top of my user and usertalk pages to clarify my username and the process of arriving at it, incl making sure that my settled username _"alyosha"_ not be confused with _Alyosha_. And to make that more clear, to show that i wasn't trying to impersonate and that i didn't see grounds for confusion, i pointed out that username _Alyosha_ was not and seemed never to have been active; so there was no active user _Alyosha_ that i could be confused with. That's all it was about. Make sense? "alyosha" (talk) 20:09, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it does. Thank you for your time.--Mac Lover Talk 02:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sidebar redesign final vote! edit

It's that special, special time! No, grandma's not coming over. No, not time to clean out the fridge. It's sidebar redesign voting time! Yes, the community has narrowed it down to 3 different options, and a vote for the same old original sidebar is a choice one could vote for as well. Voting for multiple options is allowed, and discussion on the whole shebang is right there on the vote page itself.

You're probably getting this message because the sidebar fairy (JoeSmack for now) noticed you commented on the project at some time over on at Wikipedia talk:Village pump (proposals)/Sidebar redesign. Lovely. JoeSmack Talk 07:13, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Webdevers Haven edit

I have nominated Webdevers Haven for immediate deletion. It was too short and was about a website that was of little importance in the complete picture of the web. I am not trying to make you feel sad or angry; I just wanted to let you know what was up. Thank you for understanding! -ENIAC (Talk) (Current Projects) 23:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redesign user page edit

Hi Mac Lover, how are you? I am here to offer you to redesign your userpage. Please see my userpage and you can decide to accept my offer or to reject me at the very worst :( ahahaha. Oh well, I noticed you like blue, and is that Mac means Macintosh? I can make you a userpage with blue colour and some boxes around and stuff, ahahah, I haven't decided yet. Okay, please respond on my talk page. See ya around! Cheers -- Imoeng 10:16, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi how are you? Please look at User:Mac Lover/Userpage2. There are still some room for additions, that is why I am here now :P. Could you tell me a bit about yourself? Your greatest interest, likes and dislikes, and stuff. Also can I know what links do you want me to put in under "useful links"? So basically, these are the things I need for now. If you do not like the userpage, please please tell me. Cheers -- Imoeng 11:15, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Do you want the links go under Mac Lover and inside the blue box? What else do you want besides link to your talk page? Cheers -- Imoeng 00:56, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yup, all done, please look at User:Mac Lover/Header. Okay, if you have another request or question (though I reckon you are far more experienced than me :P), just drop it on my talk page. Cheers -- Imoeng 01:12, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Glad you like it :D -- Imoeng 02:10, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image edit

The first two photos on your userpage need to be smaller beacause they are covering up the text.

June 2007 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at Singapore. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you. Stating that Singapore is a "dictatorship" is POV. Andrew_pmk | Talk 23:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi. You put a template on my page that said that my contribution is POV. A dictatorship is a form of government, and saying that a nation is a dictatorship is no worse than claiming a nation is a democracy or any other form of government. I really don't see the problem. --//Mac Lover TalkC 00:03, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I would say that stating that Singapore is a "dictatorship" is POV. The country has elections, but they have been criticized as unfair and unfree. The article already lists these criticisms. In the modern sense, the word "dictatorship" is not really a form of government, but rather a word used to criticize governments that one believes are unfree. I think that it would be best to leave the article as it is - stating that Singapore has elections but that they have been criticized as unfree. Andrew_pmk | Talk 00:14, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please read Dictatorship, the first sentence. --//Mac Lover TalkC 02:35, 25 June 2007 (UTC).Reply

star trek warp speed edit

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this private message, but here it is anyway.

Did you write "No, that's impossible. In the star treck universe, they still can't achieve the speed of light. Maximum warp sill isn't light speed"

The whole idea of warp drive is the fact that it goes faster than light. How else is interstellar travel possible?

The closest star system to Earth is the Alpha Centauri system, which is about 2 1/2 light years distant. Starships travel to worlds much farther away in a matter of hours or days using warp drive, as shown in the series.

Proposed deletion of Belaya Mountains edit

The article Belaya Mountains has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced from 2006, the object is not on the maps

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Insider (talk) 23:16, 25 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
