Lead Section

The lead section reads easily and describes what the wikipedia article is talking about while also mentioning other names for describing the same process which is useful. More could be added about the type of stars that are able to perform the alpha process as that seems to be an essential point of this article to me. It might also be worth it to talk about helium's atomic number and weight number within the lead section as it is such an important part of the alpha process.

Structure

The structure of the article is organized in a meaningful way with each of the sections having a sufficient amount of content within. The chronology of the sections also make sense except for it might benefit from moving the section "Special notation for relative abundance" to the end of the article as it does not seem to be directly related to the section it is inside.

Balance

Each section of the article has enough content for its importance. More information could be added about the temperature that needs to be reached in order for a star to be able to carry out the alpha process. I think that all of the parts of this article relate to the topic so there is no need to remove any of the previously added content.

Neutral Content

This article does not seem to be written in any kind of persuasive manner but in a factual and scientific viewpoint, good job.

Sources

There are large sections within the first section including the 2nd paragraph in this section that does not use sources at all. The "Alpha process elements" also lacks enough sources specifically in the first part of that section. The last section is sourced well in comparison to the others. The article does not rely too heavily on one source and prevents a variety of viewpoints which is good. Overall great job on writing this article in a convincing manner that does well presenting scientific facts about alpha processes in an encyclopedic manner.
