Lukong15, you are invited to the Teahouse edit

Hi Lukong15! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Rosiestep (I'm a Teahouse host)

Welcome! edit

Hello, Lukong15, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! • Please refrain from adding collections of quotes and commentary to encyclopedic articles. It does not improve them. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:24, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • One more time: please refrain. Sticking a whole bunch quotes and commentary in articles and on talk pages serves no purpose whatsoever. You keep saying "For some reason what I typed didn't appear so I'm retyping it again"--yes, it keeps disappearing because editors keep removing it. Please don't do it again or you will be (temporarily) blocked so you know there's something not right with your edits. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 20:02, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

April 2013 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Article edits and talk page comments edit

Dude, you need to slow down and perhaps use the Show preview button while editing. On talk pages, please add your comments at the end. You can even use the New Section link at the top of each page and this will automatically put your new comment in the right spot. I've reverted two sets of edits where you added your signature to years-old comments. For a start, it doesn't make much sense. And second, nobody is likely to respond to your comment because it isn't where they expect it to be. Yeah? Just slow down a bit.

Have a read of things like Wikipedia's Manual of Style and some policies for adding things to articles, like WP:V, WP:RS and WP:OR. They will give you a better understanding of what is expected of editors here. At the moment, almost all of your edits have been reverted - to articles and talk pages - which means you've wasted a lot of your time making edits that have simply been deleted. You're obviously enthusiastic about contributing here so you might as well have a read of some things to help make your contributions productive. Stalwart111 21:40, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

You don't have to delete your account - simply stop using it. But that's not at all what I was suggesting. I think you have the capacity to be a very productive editor, it would just help if you had an understanding of some of the basic policies. Most new editors start by making one or two word edits; fixing spelling mistakes or suggesting new sources on talk pages. They can usually do that without having to understand all the "rules". You jumped in the deep end, I think, and started making really big edits with lots of information. If they had been disruptive or if they were considered vandalism, you would have been blocked. But I think everyone could see what you were trying to do and so will just encourage you to read some stuff so that your understanding catches up with your enthusiasm. No big deal.
