Lovely Professional University promo removal!

edit
Why do you keep removing this reference? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:52, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

The reference is acceptable but not the rest of the material. I'm sorry but I've grown tired fending off these editors who keep adding promotional materials. King Kunta (talk) 16:56, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Lovely Professional University

edit

Per your edit what exactly is the problem? Surely you don't object ranking information, which is very much per consensus? I was opposing the end of the sentence but another editor insists and I don't care enough to oppose. --Muhandes (talk) 13:43, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Seriously, what do you have against this article? This fact is well sourced in the article, infobox and lead don't need to reference facts that are present and well sourced in the article. --Muhandes (talk) 17:38, 16 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Which other University wiki puts up a 'ranking' by a random magazine? It's just not acceptable for an encyclopedia. King Kunta (talk) 09:44, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

The consensus for universities in India is to add rankings from this magazine. If you want to change the consensus please start discussion at WT:INEI. I may support you if you have a compelling argument.
And, it doesn't explain this. --Muhandes (talk) 10:43, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I just realized, you actually also asked a question. "Which other University wiki puts up a 'ranking' by a random magazine". Here are the first ranked law universities in this ranking, but you can also go down the list. You can also check articles for the other rankings by this magazine. This magazine rankings are used by, in my estimation, 200-300 pages.

The articles you've linked provide rankings by multiple sources which is fair. I'd be more than happy to add other rankings from reputed sources. Regarding the infobox date, there's some confusion regarding whether the University actually started classes in 2005 or whether it's admissions office was opened on the mentioned date. King Kunta (talk) 11:35, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Naturally, these are the top four universities, they would have more than one. Look at the bottom ones and you'll find other universities with only one ranking. Here is #17 for instance: South Calcutta Law College. {{Infobox India university ranking}} is used in 300 articles more or less. Each institute includes the rating in which it appeared. There is a strong consensus (both in WP:UNIVERSITY and in WP:INEI) not to mention ratings which don't appear. So if an institute only appears in one rating that's what we have.
As for the 2005, the article says 2005 and uses a reliable source. Again I don't understand your edit, but I'm going to WP:AGF. I do request that you stop reverting my edits with feeble reasons and give me (and other editors) just a little credit. --Muhandes (talk) 17:44, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
