Thankyou for the message on my Talk page. It seems, from what you say, your article is about the activities of a private foundation, set up by the Puntacana Resort and Club? If the Puntacana Foundation is a recognised body that has been widely reported in newspapers and magazines (or other reliable and independent sources) then maybe it is notable enough to have its own article. In which case you would need to add some information to explain what the Foundation is, and how it is organised. Currently, of the 13 sources cited in your article, 5 are the resort's own website, which is not ideal. You should probably remove any information from the article that is cited only to the Resort's website (or at least, keep it to a minimum). The first two articles from the Dominican Today newspaper probably count towards the notability of the Foundation, because they mention it (and its activities) in a bit of detail. Hello Sionk. First thing's first: this is my first Wiki page, so forgive me if I am following protocol incorrectly (namely, how and where I should be responding to you, and if I should be submitting the revised article to a different reviewer or if I should be continuing to bug you with it!) Anyway, I did a lot of changes to the article yesterday, improving it per your recommendations. For example, I removed the references listing the company's official webpages (www.puntacana.com, www.puntacana.org), and also the information within the article which I could not support with different independent sources. The information I could support with independent sources, I revised within the article and added those sources to the references section.
One thing I'd like to mention is that because this company is located in a Spanish-speaking country, the amount of press the Foundation receives is mostly in Spanish language news. Obviously I am not using those as sources. Maybe the natural step would be to post it in the Spanish Wikipedia, but due to the large amount of English-speaking tourists, American students and connections to the English-speaking world the Foundation has (through development activities with entities such as Save the Children, US-AID and U.S. universities), I am interested in bringing the information into the English Wiki world. Spanish language sources are perfectly valid on English Wikipedia. Sionk (talk) 16:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Really? I didn't research about it, I just assumed. In that case, I will add Spanish language news sources, in Spanish, to the list of references, to strengthen the article's content. It would need a Spanish-speaking reviewer, I assume, to properly check the Spanish sources. Luculence (talk) 18:17, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
See WP:NONENG. Obviously, English language sources are prefered but, if they don't exist, sources in other languages are okay. There are lots of people on WP who understand Spanish. The rest can use 'Google Translate'! Sionk (talk) 17:54, 17 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi there- I'm afraid I was unable to find a statement releasing content into the public domain on the website; could you point me to it? Please reply on my talk page. Thanks, J Milburn (talk) 20:24, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

You live in a very beautiful part of the world! I'm afraid the fact that it is on the Internet for all to see is not enough for us to use it- even though it's free to look at, it's not necessarily free to use, which is what's important here. (There are cases in which "non-free" content can be used, but, as this image could be replaced, such as by you going to take the same picture, this is not one of them.) If you can go and take the same picture yourself, that would be the best solution to this issue. Based on what you've told me, I'm going to delete the image you've already uploaded. And don't worry about making mistakes- we were all new once. If I can be of any help with image or other issues, you're welcome to contact me on my talk page.
