Speedy deletion of Strayhorts edit

A tag has been placed on Strayhorts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact God to pray that a copy be sent down to you. Triwbe (talk) 09:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{2000s-emo-album-stub}} edit

Hi - a stub template, category, or redirect which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 02:13, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

In response to Paramore genres edit

First of all the title "for the love of God..." was not meant to be a double meaning but funny that I said it anyway! Just to let you know emo and emo rock are the same thing same as punk pop and pop punk are the same thing! I think they are pop rock, power pop and alternative rock as well but obviously when it comes to genres, nobody's opinion matters apart from the administrators! I'll just keep my mouth shut!--Seán Travers (talk) 19:54, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Seán TraversReply

Genres edit

Please stop adding/changing/removing genres on album/band pages. These are decided upon by consensus, and should not be changed without discussion. Furthermore, adding Rock directs to the article about stones, the article for the genre is at "Rock music". Cheers Nouse4aname (talk) 15:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

You need to start using the talk page to implement your changes, you can't keep going around making genre related edits all day without first discussing. As of now ppl are having to clean up after you, please start discussing beforehand. Landon1980 (talk) 16:19, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

though I am a bit of a vandal and people dont always reply, cos it would be like feeding a troll, which is what you wikipedians call it.

June 2008 edit

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Paramore, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Regarding your disruptive edits edit

Hi, will you please start explaining some of your edits? As of now almost all of your edits are reverted, have you noticed this? You have got to stop making so many controversial changes regarding the musical genre of bands. What is the reason for you going around changing 'rock' band to 'rock band'? Do you not realize what that does when you do that? It is getting increasingly harder for myself and other editors to clean up after you on a daily basis, please start explaining your edits. You fail to use an edit summary, and almost never use the articles talk page. If you continue your disruptive editing patterns it is likely you will be blocked from editing wikipedia. Have a good day. Landon1980 (talk) 16:43, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "Hey panda" edit

A page you created, Hey panda, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thanks. Thingg 15:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Hey panda. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -WarthogDemon 18:38, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I've deleted the above article, as it does not meet our notability guidelines, especially those for musicians. the fact that a band has played with another notable band does not automatically make it notable; if you look at the music guidelines, we need multiple reliable sources at the minimum, and prefer also having national tours, multiple releases on notable record labels, and others. Sorry to say, but Hey Panda doesn't meet these guidelines yet. Tony Fox (arf!) 18:58, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Friend Like That edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Friend Like That, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Jesus Loves You(song) edit

A tag has been placed on Jesus Loves You(song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Madina Lake Genres edit

Hi! I've noticed you started altering Madina Lake's genres for albums and songs again. These really don't need to be edited. They've already been decided upon, and to keep changing them just bothers the editors who have to undo your edits. If you really feel as though an edit is necessary, make a note in the discussion asking if everyone agrees. That saves a lot of headaches for the rest of us. Thanks!! I have blocked you for 24 hours for refusing to heed to warnings. You have been told multiple times by many different users about making unsourced genre changes that you believe to be correct. When you return, please make sure you avoid making point of view changes. If you wish to contest this blocking, please use the {{unblock|PUT YOUR REASON FOR UNBLOCKING HERE}} template.   Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of inaccurate page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Saves the Day, you will be blocked from editing. Nouse4aname (talk) 14:38, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

How many times must you be asked? Please stop changing genres without discussion. It is extremely disruptive and rude. You do not have the final say in the genres in infoboxes, so please stop changing them. Nouse4aname (talk) 14:47, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
