Replaceable fair use File:Belouis Some 'Album Pic 86'.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Belouis Some 'Album Pic 86'.png. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:04, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Belouis Some.png edit

A tag has been placed on File:Belouis Some.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Geoff Dugmore edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Geoff Dugmore requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Jinkinson talk to me 20:17, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Geoff Dugmore edit

Hello Londonmusicinfo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Geoff Dugmore for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ColonelHenry (talk) 03:43, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Geoff Dugmore edit

Hello, Londonmusicinfo,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Geoff Dugmore should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geoff Dugmore .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, ColonelHenry (talk) 07:47, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Geoff Dugmore edit

The article Geoff Dugmore has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.   Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Geoff Dugmore may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

File permission problem with File:Belouis Some picture taken in London January 2016.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Belouis Some picture taken in London January 2016.jpg, which you've attributed to http://belouissome.com/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nick—Contact/Contribs 20:34, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Belouis Some biography Allmusic edit

Hi Synthwave.94

Re. your edit of Belouis Some on List of New Wave artists.

The Allmusic biography of Belouis Some states that he is a new wave artist.. "new wave darlings" "Artist Biography by Michael Sutton Belouis Some was probably the least-known act on 1986's Pretty in Pink soundtrack, an assemblage of previously unfamiliar new wave darlings such as the Psychedelic Furs, Echo & the Bunnymen, and the Smiths."

Mirrors edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Belouis Some. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Barnklubb edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Barnklubb requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. September 2023 edit

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Hi Bbb23, I have read and understood the terms and conditions and paid editing disclosure requirements. I apologise for violating the terms of use and completely understand why I have been blocked. In my defence, I had just created the page and then was called away for dinner with the intention of completing the Barnklubb profile later that night. Eva Linderholm has worked for many years to develop her own brand of nursery teaching and that was going to be the focus of the profile. I shouldn't have published until it was completed. I have never been paid by Barnklubb.
I hope you will consider unblocking me, thanks you.

I am abandoning the Barnklubb page

You say above you are Eva Linderholm's husband, and the draft you wrote says Ingrid is her daughter- are you Ingrid's father? 331dot (talk) 10:03, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Londonmusicinfo (talk) 10:33, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's doubtful that you will be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about yourself or your family due to the severe conflict of interest(as well as the autobiography policy which highly discourages edits about ourselves). 331dot (talk) 10:34, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for this, I understand. My management or PR will make all future edits on the
Belouis Some page. Londonmusicinfo (talk) 10:38, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
That isn't much of an improvement- and is actually worse because it would be meat puppetry since you are blocked. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your management would also need to openly declare their relationship with you and that they are being paid, per WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK I understand, I will let a member of the public or fan update in future. Although there are thousands of music and show business pages updated by "interested" parties, aren't there. As long as the information is verified? Londonmusicinfo (talk) 10:46, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is possible for those with a conflict of interest to indirectly contribute about topics related to that COI, but you burned that bridge, at least for the short term. We're now going to want to see edits from you in other, unrelated areas first, before permitting you to do that. If you have no interest in contributing in other areas, I would suggest withdrawing your request. 331dot (talk) 10:52, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
