Hi, I noticed that you listed the subject article on today's Articles for deletion log ([1]) but have not created a deletion discussion or placed a notice on the article that it is up for deletion. If you would like to create a deletion discussion, please follow the three-step process outlined at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Let me know if you need help by responding below. —KuyaBriBriTalk 16:50, 13 January 2010 (UTC) Yes! I would love some help! I have never done this before. I will reread the deletion page and try to correct my mistake now.Lollipopfop (talk) 10:45, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please read Wikipedia:Deletion policy and list below the reason you believe the article should be deleted. Please note that I will not list the article for deletion if I believe your rationale is not a valid rationale for deletion (e.g., "I don't like it"). —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:25, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Its an article that very simply lists the deaths of people in the united states that have died due to dog attack in the last five or so years. I did not think this was encyclopedia worthy article as there are no lists of that type in Wikipoedia. For example there are no lists of people dying of household accidents, or dying because they were hit by lightning. The number of people that have died of dog attacks is very small(average 20 per year of the years that the article lists). This is even less then people who have died of escalator or elevator related accidents during the same time. So why a list of what amounts to a freak accident? How is this worthy information. The details given in the article are also odd. It lists the names and ages of the victims for a reason I don't understand. It does not have footnotes, but does claim in words that the numbers are given by the CDC. It might well be true. I couldn't find it myself. The one thing it does have is a breakdown of how many of the attacks are of Pit Bull type dogs, so Im assuming(forgive my ignorance I don't know if this is a decided issue, or some kind of legislation that already exists) but it has to do with that pit bull law(which I don't know much about, again). Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. But why else specifically point out the pit bull deaths on the list? It does say in the wikipedia guideliness no soapbox type entries. Maybe then it should be merged with an article on that legislation, if such an article exists? It shouldn't just sit there by itself though. I really am fairly new to Wikip[edia. Is that a good reason to remove it? Or should it be merged with something? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lollipopfop (talkcontribs) 15 January 2010

Edit summaries, multiple consecutive edits edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.

Hello Lollipopfop, and thanks for your work on the Henry II article. Another note on editing, if you don't mind: It will also be easier for you and your co-editors to collaborate on articles if, instead of making multiple consecutive edits in rapid succession on an article, you use the "Show preview" button to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits. Thanks in advance for considering this.

Help:Show_preview promotes minimizing the number of saves per edit session. Eric talk 17:25, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Got it. It was such a teeny edit. I thought maybe it wouldn't even be noted.
You'll see as you accumulate pages on your watchlist that it makes checking the list easier and faster if everyone leaves an edit summary and keeps their saves to a minimum. Eric talk 20:37, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
