Hi, I really don't have a huge stake in the external links, I only know that these "links to more links" pages are routinely getting tossed out of other articles by the bots and admin people, as well as the links to chat sites, etc...

I looked up the article on the ODP and kudos for the non-pay-to-be-included approach.  :-)

I also looked at Wikipedia:External links as a guideline. It appears that the ODP link does not provide a unique resource. Also seems that ODP is sort of a glorified list of search engine results (albiet perhaps a superior one), so that was why I removed the link.

A better approach would be to put in a few more direct links to significant sites that perhaps come up in ODP.

However, I don't really care all that much, frankly. I'm just trying to follow wikipedia's guidelines. If you put it back in, it's not worth an editing war, though if someone else takes it out, perhaps it then should stay out. Montanabw 17:33, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
