Speedy deletion nomination of EchoPark Automotive

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on EchoPark Automotive, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Orphaned non-free image File:OutsideviewofEchopark.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:OutsideviewofEchopark.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:03, 6 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Outsideviewofechopark.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 18:27, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of EchoPark Automotive

edit

Hello Llouiseelliott,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged EchoPark Automotive for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Julietdeltalima (talk) 18:50, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

The principal issue I see with the article that it reads way too much like a press release or brochure written for public relations purposes, and not like a neutral encyclopedia article written by an uninvolved third party. Language like "EchoPark was conceptualized as a buyer-centric option in-line with the retail and hospitality industries for customers in the used car market" is, to those of us not in the marketing industry, "marketing-ese" that is inappropriate for an encyclopedia. Remember that many Wikipedia users are outside the U.S. and/or don't speak English as their first language. "Buyer-centric" is overly jargony for an encyclopedia even in American English, but not readily translatable by someone in, say, South Korea or Slovenia.
I suggest that you read MOS:WTW to start getting a sense of what a Wikipedia article is and isn't supposed to "sound" like. I would also advise that you look at a number of long-established Wikipedia articles about businesses to understand what they're supposed to look like from a formatting perspective. (The section headings here aren't correctly set up or capitalized, for example.) Best of luck to you and thank you for your thoughtful inquiry! Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:32, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Also, please be aware that it is not appropriate to remove speedy-deletion tags yourself, as set forth on the tag itself. Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:34, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Echoparklogo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Echoparklogo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
