Hi LizzyBee - just a note about Wikiwoods, after long argument Wikipedia established a policy of using standard capitalisation for all article titles. Hence I redirected WikiWoods to Wikiwoods. Welcome to Wikipedia by the way. :) Manning (talk) 09:53, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ah, thank you. Didn't know : )

Also I apologize for the conduct of the person leaving offensive messages on your page. They have been warned, and I will block them from Wikipedia if the behaviour persists. Manning (talk) 10:16, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

January 2012 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to User:Technogreek43 with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ─═KlilidiplomusTalk═─ 10:20, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

User:Klilidiplomus - this user was reacting to this diff and this diff. I've issued an NPA warning, and am watching the case.
LizzyBee23 - I know you are new and I'm sorry that this has been your introduction to Wikipedia. However, as general advice, if you ever run into this sort of trouble again, just bring it to the admins via the "Request Admin Attention" via the link above and we'll handle it. Manning (talk) 10:24, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, didn't mean to vandalise. I was trying to find a way to report it. I'll get in touch with the admins in future. Thank you for your help. Lizzy

No dramas :) Here's a hint, if you hit the tilde button (the '~' key) four times at the end of your comment, you'll automatically have your name and date added. Manning (talk) 10:35, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi Lizzy. Just an update, the person who was giving you grief has since been blocked from editing for an "indefinite period". (In Wikipedia jargon this means "forever", unless he agrees to operate under strict probation, which seems unlikely). Regards, Manning (talk) 04:03, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks both for blocking him and letting me know. A very strange first experience : ) LizzyBee23 (talk) 10:12, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Yes, unfortunate. I have no idea why he picked you out of the 1000s of editors, possibly the female sounding name. Being an open project means we get all types, but the vast majority are friendly and cooperative, and he was just a childish miscreant. Of course we do have some dangerous areas - if you want a real fright go visit the Palestine-related pages - that's open warfare. Manning (talk) 10:59, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
