Wake Up (Three Days Grace Song) edit

Hi. I redirected the article as it didn't meet the standard notability guidelines for songs on Wikipedia which are outlined at WP:NSONGS. Albums of notable artists are usually regarded as being notable but songs are not. Being released as a single or getting airplay is not enough. To be notable a song has to rank on a significant music chart, be covered, or win an award etc. I only edited the article as it has a non-standard capitalization, it should have been spelled Wake Up (Three Days Grace song). I didn't look at the other singles but if they are similar (i.e they are songs that never charted etc) then they could be redirected by any editor as non-notable. Any information on the song that can be referenced (see WP:RS) could be placed on the album page Three Days Grace (album). Tassedethe (talk) 18:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there's another page for band members at WP:MUSICBIO (the bit at the bottom after item 12). Again if a musician is only notable as part of a band then they generally redirect to the band. If they have other notability (e.g solo album, member of other bands etc) then they may get a page of their own. Any article that has been redirected can be restored by using the 'undo' option in the article history. Tassedethe (talk) 19:07, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
