Head-directionality parameter edit

Please find another forum for doing school work. It is not acceptable for error correction to be undone just because the editor who did the work is not part of your school group. W. P. Uzer (talk) 09:05, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello W.P. Uzer. We really do appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism which you can provide to help us improve the Head-directionality parameter article, and meant no disrespect by undoing the changes you made. However, as LingAnthNerd mentioned, we are being evaluated based on the work we've done up until Dec. 11th on this article, and would appreciate conversation or feedback on the Talk page to send us in the right direction, rather than an outright overhaul. It clearly states at the beginning of the article's Talk page that it is the focus of an educational assignment, and we hope that Wikipedia users will respect our fledgling attempt at contributing to Wikipedia as a whole for the duration of the assignment. Feel free to go to town with major edits and corrections after the 11th. Until then, we're just trying to get our class project done to the best of our abilities. This article was assigned to us by mutual agreement between RM Dechaine, the University of British Columbia's Linguistic department, and Wikipedia itself, so please feel free to take any complaints you have about this project up with either of them. This kind of educational project is still undergoing a trial period, and I know that Wikipedia is looking for feedback. (we've certainly sent some their way) Tsadler00 (talk) 08:34, 7 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
