Edit summaries edit

Linda,

Regarding your edits to the Jennifer Gillis (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) article, could you please provide edit summaries? Several times today you blanked out the external links in the references section only to have them replaced by other editors. If you had said in your edit summary that you were going to be using those links as inline references and therefore putting them back into the article, those editors could have spent their time on other things. I see that you eventually did put in an edit summary but it could have been done sooner. Also, edit summaries help not only other editors but yourself in seeing where certain changes were made. If errors creep in, it's easier to see where those errors might have been made.

Jennifer Gillis images edit

Regarding the images you are adding to the Jennifer Gillis article. Did you take those photographs or did other people take them? Dismas|(talk) 07:13, 26 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

While we're on the subject, I've fixed the image markup two times now. Please take note of how the image link is formatted. Dismas|(talk) 08:15, 26 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
