I would like to replace
"Two-step verification or two-step authentication is a method of confirming a user's claimed identity by utilizing something they know (password) and a second factor other than something they have or something they are."
with: "Two-step verification or two-step authentication is a method of confirming a user's claimed identity by utilizing something they know (password) and a second factor like something they have or something they are." Liglin (talk) 09:30, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
If one of the two steps of two-step verification is something a user knows, then the other step must be something different from what the user knows. This can be something they have or are.
