July 2018 edit

  Hello. Your recent edit to List of pastors in Nigeria appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:14, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

July 2018 edit

  Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Draft talk:Cyril Ogwu. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. reddogsix (talk) 19:42, 21 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, Libertydavid.   • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;

Mass posting of messages edit

You have been posting numerous identical copies of messages to many different talk pages, frequently to talk pages where they seem to have no relevance. For example, you have been posting copies of a message about reviewing "Articles for creation" drafts to talk pages of editors, even though you have not actually performed the review process on any drafts. Also, the message you post, although expressed in your own terms, does not seem to add any substantive information to what editors have already been told by experienced editors who really have reviewed the drafts properly. Another example is your post at Talk:Lina Romay (singer), which does not appear to relate in any meaningful way to the article. Please stop posting these generic messages without due consideration of whether and how they are relevant and helpful in each particular case. Also, please don't make any attempt to take part in reviewing "Articles for creation" submissions until you have enough experience to be able to do so in a constructive way: at present, with at total of eight edits to articles, you have nowhere near enough experience. Google translations edit

Google translate can be very valuable for some purposes, but blindly copying translated text to a Wikipedia page is likely to be unhelpful. For example, what does "between 5000 BC (500 BC)" mean? If you don't know what it means then you should not have posted it, and if you do know what it means then you should have reworded it so that others could understand it. Hard-coded ages edit

At Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin you posted his age in the infobox. I am sure you intended that to be helpful, but in fact it is not a good idea, as unless you come back every year on his birthday and update it the information will become inaccurate. In any case, it's not really necessary, as most readers will be able to tell how old he is from knowledge of his date of birth and the current date.
